Seems a bit heavy
« on: 31 December 2009, 21:42:40 »

2.5 V6 auto, with 3.0 cams, 3.2 manifolds, and blanked EGR.

From a full tank (pump clicking) to the red light: 418 miles.

This is mostly motorway milage, between 50-70mph, with maybe 30 miles sub-urban.

I recall my old 3.0 facelift Estate did 500 to a tank on a run...  so the 2.5 seems a little low, in comparison...

It's getting up to temp - sits at about 85 deg on a run. Can't think of much else, having rebuilt the top end - unless of course, the 3.0 cam in a 2.5 combination naturally makes it more thirsty?

I will have to try on cheap rubbish fuel.. this was with a mix of BP Ultimate / Shell V Power...

Your old facelift estate was running on steel rims and 'wrong' size tyres, if you recall.....   ;)

Thinking of that car, I actually miss the CID, I think it looks really smart.
