OK, CCR800, CDC2, amp, shelf, 4 Bose door speakers, 2 subs, and the loom down the side of the car.

Sadly, if the last letter of the VIN is an X you will have to drill the metal shelf to fit the subs. Might be worth considering blind/shelf at this time.

I know loo-knee/elite pete can supply all this at the moment.

If you fancy a bit of wiring, CCRT700 headunit adds a phone as well.  I'm sure they can supply this, along with (different) CDC2, courtesy light with microphone, and new computer display.

To CCR800, its not bad - its just the drilling for the subs.  Bit of trim to come off (rear shelf, and trim down drivers side of car), but all easy stuff to be honest.

Possibly not, look in the boot at the rear shelf for the presence of 2 large semi-cut sections where the speakers would sit.

As MDTM illuded to, it would appear that MY99 (last letter of VIN being an X) and later (so facelifts) cars don't have the cutouts for the bose speakers, so need to be manually drilled.

Up to MY98 (last letter of VIN being W), the metal shelve has punch outs...

I'm thinking of fitting bose into my 2001 facelift saloon also....

At the moment i have NCDC2015, it sound pretty good, it would be great if it had little more of that low end bass tho. I'm not looking for mindblowing  loud bass, just clean, perfect sound at average volume.

But I have some serious doubts about this Bose system, is it woth it's price(~170£)??? Or should I just drop this idea.

Second thing is I have no idea where to exactly drill holes for subs....has anyone done it. Maybe someone can post pics where it's fitted?

why do you lot go mad for a 20 year old system?

a moderm head unit  would trounce it in every way

compaired to the stock system is is an improvement but spend a few hundred quid on speakers and a decent head unit and  the bose system really starts to sound a but duff
