A question regarding the Climate control panel on a 2003 facelift, or more specifically, the dark perspex strip across the top with all of the various symbols and temperature displays behind.

Is it possible to remove this strip from the dash to clean it, as for some reason (and this has been like this since i got the car 3 years ago) the central portion of the display has a rather blured look to it.
Symbols showing through the plastic are not clear, almost as if something was sprayed onto it but not wiped off.

Any advise would be appreciated

cheers

Steve

Can you suggest a better way to carry all my music in the car? Im talking ALOT of CD's. I know i cant listen to them all at once, however i'd like to be able to pick and choose what to listen to.

What about something like a Kenwood HU which has a USB port, and use a USB memory stick. Works a treat for me  :)

Only difference is that the pre-facelift has LED's on the switch button itself whereas the facelift uses a warning light on the speedo.
I've swapped a pre-facelift to a facelift without any trouble at all. (obviously both from Omega's though  ;))

Don't forget though,  they only light up when the radio is ON!

Hi can some one tell me what kind of cable id need so i can use my steering wheel controls. ive a kenwood KDC-237 cd head unit.
any help would be great

omega 2.5i V6 24v (S) reg :y
Looking at the manual for the unit, it doesn't seem to have any external connectors for the steering controls/dashboard display, which means you may not be able to use the steering controls.
My kenwood (KDC-9537U) has an extra plug (in addition to the standard ISO) specifically for this purpose.

Don't most Kenwood HU's have line level outputs which can use the Bose amp instead of the internal one which is turned off in a menu?
I know mine does.

Pre face lift cars must be different then!  :)

They must be, as i tried mine today.
They switched on AND off without the key,
also giving me the lights on alarm when i opened the drivers door.

Now got everything working, so i'm happy :)

Rather suprised that the persons on the service desk at my local main dealer didn't know that this was possible.

Took about 10 minutes to convince them that it was  ::)

I Have a 2003 CD omega and would like to find out if this mod can be done.
How do you find out if the car is DBW or not?
