Well thats the old girl passed her 5th MoT in a row without a single advisory 
Never had any advisorys or fails in the time I've had her .
Maybe treat her to a wash and polish now

Omega General Help / Aaarrgg ... Just serviced and now mis-fire .

Well i've just serviced the car a few weeks ago with new GM parts ie plugs , air filter , oil and filter etc and tonight on the way home from work ive got a mis-fire from cylinder 3.
Only seemed to mis-fire under load though .
There was virtually no oil in the wells at all so i can only assume ive got a duff plug .

It did seem to cure itself after another mile or two but i suppose thats the journey for its mot tomorrow out the window untill i find out more about whats going on .
Wouldnt be good mis-firing away on the mot ramp 
Should have just left the old plugs in there

Does anyone have any recommendations for a good dash camera .
Preferably something smallish as at times i have my gps unit on the windscreen aswell.
Seen a few on the Eay of E and willing to spend maybe £70ish.

Omega General Help / Tyres ... Different size Front And Rear

My car currently has 215/55/16's all round .

Im looking to replace the rears with the same make as the fronts but can only find 225's
Cant seem to find them in 215's

So could i legally have 215's on the front and 225's on the rear ??
I dont see why not

Omega General Help / 2.2 Petrol Timing Belt Fitting

My timing belt is due in a few months so just thinking about putting out some feelers to see if theres anyone in the Fife/Scotland area who would maybe offer some assistance on fitting this for me for beertokens  ... I've bought the dvd from the shop but think this is way above my capabilities 
I can get the Gates kit quite easily and would be looking for the water pump doing as well .
I just dont trust any garage doing this for me after my previous Omega's belt went after 14 months having being fitted by a garage 
Quite willing to travel a reasonable distance 
Its only done 22,000 since the last belt change done by Vx but its 5 months or so from the 4 years so i better get it done

How on earth do i remove the full beam bulbs ... the book of lies says remove plug and gently push down on back of bulb till it releases from its retaining clips 

I must be missing something  :-/

My power sounder very occasionally goes off for no reason .... i know i can just disconnect it but i would rather replace it but which one do i have ..... everywhere i look states 2 or 3  different part numbers

Hopefully the latter cause its a lot cheaper than the other one .
Also my alarm horn doesnt work either so does anyone have a part number fot that also .

My car horn works as it should .... pressing the steering wheel switches 
When my alarm goes of though its only the power sounder that goes , there is no horn .
I thought they both went off when the alarm went off .
Using my diag software and laptop i was rooting around in the alarm section and it has a stored fault ,

125 horn open circuit

Any ideas

Ive stummbled across my old car 400 taken out of my first mig .... been lying in a box in a cupboard for years .... dont think i have a code but im sure it worked fine before i put a cd player in .... is it worth anything on an auction site or should i just bin it
