Can you check the diff oil the same way as you do with the autobox and if so how and what fluid do I use. I have seen one thread on this but it looks like the whole diff was taken apart.

At the moment everything I do seems to be 2 steps forward and 1 back

Example I picked up a set of 18" fox racing alloys, I gave them a bit of a refurb and new 235/40/18 dunlop max rts and then fitted them yesturday while putting on the plastic bolt covers I noticed the covers didnt go into the recess as far as the other ones. Took them back off today and found that 1 of them had a offset of 28 and the others are 33.

So now what to do just leave it on the back and forget it.
Get a 5mm spacer.
Leave it on and keep looking for a new wheel with the correct et.

Omega General Help / sticking/jumping rev counter

Not sure how to explain this but here goes. Last few days I have noticed that the rev needle seems to jump from 0 to say 500 then climb smoothly, also it will do this when you brake and then thottle again. It does this more at slow speed than at higher speed. It does go away after about 20mins of driving. Any ideas please

Omega General Help / hesitation on throttle / gearbox response

This is difficult to explain but sometimes when you give it bootfull it will think about it then go, other times it will change gear then change again. No thuds or code since replacing the gearbox and gearbox ecu. Perhaps mr Chrisgixer can word it better as he has experienced the fault. Also sometimes when you boot it then lift off it feels like the revs dont drop.

Probably a silly thought but what controls the throttle peddle. was just thinking perhaps engine/gearbox is being told the wrong thing so not sure what to do.

Having a bit of a clear out. all parts can be posted,collected or taken to the next wycombe meet. Posting items may take a few days due to work etc.

All items taken from either my old 2.6 cdx or collected from other cars.All items are open to offer but priced to keep within the rules.

1. A full set of cams 2.6 £20.

2. S/L rear springs a bit rusty but all good £30.

3. S/L rear shocks. These work but believe to have a slight Air leak. £25.

4. Can covers from a v6 plus cap £25.

5. 5x screw on oil filter £5

6. Pair of fogs lights lenses both good but casing on one has a hole in it. £10.

7. Elite rear view mirror £20.
