If you are hiring a car abroad after the 8th of June, be aware of the new bureaucratic process required where the paper part of your licence is scrapped after that date. The information will all be online. Great fun if you have Internet connection problems don't know your NI number and are more than 72 hours after departing and you want to hire a car. :( :( :(
