Not going to be many peoples favourite colour but the body wrap may come off depending on various factors, later in the year.
Specs are: 6.2 V8 supercharged, 14000 miles, suspension mods to be identified when I go up to Monkfish on Wednesday as it's going for a health check and full service. Can't say much more about it at the moment as there's not much history to go on. Sorry about the lack of pictures but Photobucket is real crap to day.
-
That certainly isn't subtle in any way :y
-
It's even more scary to drive than the colour is to look at :o Have had a quote to de-wrap it :-\
-
I see your closet exhibitionism is starting to come out then Ken ;D
Very nice, even the colour 8)
-
Bloody hellfire! Did it get wrapped in the dark?!
Still wouldnt kick it off my drive though... good luck with the health check and cant wait to see more of it!
-
Thanks Al,I didn't go for the colour in particular,it was the low mileage that was the attraction as the car is as new,it's been pampered all its life and only used in the summer months. The other thing was that it was hidden away only five minutes walk from me in a garage and wrapped in two sheets. It's not a project car unlike the Omegas ::) and it's really going to be a way of getting about in the summer months to the various V8 meets which are pretty numerous as opposed to the Omega meets which struggle a bit in all honesty. So hopefully I'll get the best of both worlds as life is getting a bit boring with the shite weather we have had this winter. ::)
-
Lovely colour :y
-
Cheers STEMO, SWMBO dropped me off to pick the car up,took one look at it...said OMG! and drove off...think she got overcome with emotion ::) :)
-
Nice one mate welcome to the world of the V8 8) I have a Monaro and would love to someday upgrade to one of these. :y

Cheers Kevin,
spoke to Monkfish yesterday and they don't know the car as it always been serviced at VX,but they will be eye balling it on Wednesday to suss out wether it's one of the rare '09 factory supercharged 6.2 's or an aftermarket conversion :-\ Will take your advice and sign up on Pistonheads. :y

Yes....of course....silly me. ::)

It could be back to black by the end of the summer, although I have seen another car wrapped in a sort of stealth dark grey, looked the doggies.Might try something like that as an alternative :-\
-
PM'ed you mate
-
Cheers STEMO, SWMBO dropped me off to pick the car up,took one look at it...said OMG! and drove off...think she got overcome with an overwhelming urge to remove my plums ::) :)
Is that your surprised face... :D
-
Nope plums still intact, think SWMBO has given up sticking pins in dolls and is just waiting for me to pop my clogs and sell the cars and go on a cruise with the money :)
-
Nice! 8)
You'll definitely stand out wherever you go, first they'll hear the noise, then the colour ;D :y
-
I'm definitely in the Miss Daisy club at the moment, this thing is a missile and I'm having to remember at all times that this is not an Omega which by comparison is a pussy cat. It's a bit of a learning curve at the moment....and have only driven on dry roads, but with the weather as bad as it is I guess it won't be long before I have the pleasure of all road conditions :o :)
-
Nice mate . .. pleased for you :y
Slightly scared by what you have had to promise SWMBO to secure this little baby though ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
Also the colour is growing on me now :y
-
Not sure what the penalty is......YET!! :-\

Have you turned the T/C off yet that really gives a big smile. :-X
-
Noooo!! ;D but the guy who sold it to me had it sideways in our town centre.I was impressed, but the shoppers were'nt ;D
-
Also the T/C button was described to me as the 'death button' and he told me to leave the T/C on for the time being, car is extremely lively with T/C on,so happy to leave it alone for a while ::)
-
Wow, nice one Ken. :y
Pleased for you, looks a lovely motor. :y
-
Absolutely stunning, colour fantasic - leave it alone....
No not jealous at all... not one bit..... >:( :o 8) :y

-
That is some machine have u sold all your omega collection ?
-
All staying at the moment, but will be giving it some serious thought as I'm running out of space :)
-
Ken, that's an impressive beast! I don't think I'll confuse you for anyone else on the M40 with this though :D
Look forward to seeing it sometime!!
-
Planning to keep separate from Omega meets,as I still have a long history of Omega ownership and want to keep that side of things going when a meet is arranged, as I think we all agree that the Omega is a fading marque and can't really survive but for a few more short years :'(
-
Ken.
That is one scary monster and "I am green with envy" ;) you lucky lad.Enjoy it ,looks brilliant :y :y :y
-
The more you keep looking at these it makes you want one ::)
-
I'm a newbie to the V8 game so I couldn't give any constructive advice as of yet,but I think that if you have reasonable budget then you should be able to find a well sorted car.I was interested in a red VXR with 22,000 miles on it up in Bedford on GayBay and as far as I know it's still available.....looks really nice :y I would guess that you probably wouldn't need a super charged model as by the looks of the cars on Youtube, they all seem to be able to light the tyres up with ease :o Also I think Robsey has been using one of his as a taxi...I stand corrected if this is incorrect :y Go on treat yourself.....you only live once and why leave it to your wife/kids/government etc I'm joining the too much fun club :)

.
Exactly , no good going through life wishing you had done various things do it , life really is too short.
-
You have to see it as an investment though dont you ::) I dont think you would lose much money say if you kept it for 5 years then sold it if you had to ? Although i'd think that would be harder to part with than an omega .
-
I think that production is about to or has ceased, not sure wether that will make them more/less desirable,I guess time as always will tell on that one.But in the meantime I'm going cruising 8) (but not in the gay way!) ::)
-
Death Button. I like that and I like your car.
Don't forget £700 delivered.com when you come to part with your slow barges! Actually might have to get a 4 figure domain thinking about it. ;D
-
There may be an Omega cull in the near future, depending on wether I get planning permission to extend my parking area,PP unlikely,so then decision will have to be made :'(

-

Unfortunately, all big purchases are very much on hold... We are looking at options for the future, one of which makes a Sportwagon a very real possibility ;)
