« on: 24 September 2015, 20:49:40 »
I think a cover does more harm than good
the wind blows and they flap against the car scratching the paint, they trap moisture, etc.
the only good one ive seen had a alloy canterlever frame inside you lifted off from the back of the car and it folded up,you then drove onto it the front wheels on the frame then pulled it back over the car.as the cover didn't touch the car no damage and a air gap so no trouble with moisture

You posted about the bent pins whilst I was answering you - you really did try to insert an SD card in there!
The many pins in the CF cards are quite delicate, but someone with a steady hand and a very fine screwdriver might be able to tease them straight for you. Let's hope so, because a professional repairer will do the sucking in of breath and shaking of the head whilst eyeing up your wallet.....

Ron.

no it was a cf card I just wrote it wrong
think it needs to be repaired right as ive been lent it in good faith and don't want to give it back with a bodge repair

think I need to get it repaired but that's not going to happen before we go away

no one to blame apart from me

one of the best ways to make a car go faster is improving the aerodynamics
so
remove the headrests should give you at least 10mph

General Discussion Area / driving lessons is this a good plan?
« on: 03 August 2015, 22:28:00 »
ive given my 16 year old son a few lessons on some private land and hes very good.in a couple of weeks hes got 3 lessons booked with a DI on some private land as hes not 17 till September. now theres lots of DIs round here offering good deals eg 6 lessons for 55 pounds another one has 10 lessons for 99 pounds.so as I like to save money[okay iam tight] I thought he could have the cheap lessons than swap to another one with a cheap deal.
so is this a good plan or will he get confused?

« on: 23 July 2015, 21:54:39 »
The rear window has a deep curve and the tint wont
react to heat shrink in the proper manor , the pleets wont shrink out  :(
I think its because the tint is not supple enough so you end up either melting
it or creasing it ..
Wonder how much they charge for doing just a rear window  ;D

a good place near me quoted 200 pounds for limo tint
says its a hard job as the rear shelf dosnt come out
