Pics of my rental car
« on: 06 September 2009, 14:36:42 »

Got back this morning and thought I`d post up some pics of my rental car.

Nice V6 roar when it`s opened up. :) More economical than the miggy 2.5ltr. :y Gearbox not as good on the kickdown. :P Smoother ride but the seats ain`t as comfy as the mig. :(
Oh, forgot. This is one of the neighbours :D

Great time thanks Andy :y (Apart from the afternoon 20 minute storms >:(). The 300 seemed a viable proposition when the Omega`s start to disappear, but not so sure now :-/
Must admit though, I quite liked the foot operated handbrake next to the brake pedal :y

Good to hear that you had a nice holiday. Not sure about the hearing aid beige colour of the car though. Looks like a lot of coca cola bottles died to make the interior too!  ;D

Stanard thing on most yank car.

How do they compare size wise to the Omega interior.  As most of us, we have thought of the 300 as a mig replacement, but I bet the 2.7 in that  is less powerfull than a 2.5 mig here.

Glad you had had good holiday.   :y

Yeh Skruntie you`re right, it`s not got the oomph of the mig, (accelerate from 80mph and the kickdown got to come in for any increase). Sizewise, the interior has more space although the rear seats are a bit lower to the floorpan. As for the boot it`s crap. I struggled to get 1 large, 1 medium and 1 small case in there, and I mean struggled!!!!!!!!!!!

The plus side is cambelt change at 102,000 :o :o Not too sure about that

Probably coz of the underpowered engine.   :-/

Love It, Brilliant looking motor. When my business takes off a bit I want an estate, diesel, in funeral hearse black.

I'll live with that uber cr*p interior just to look at the exterior as im walking away/towards it!!!!!

How much could you a new basic one for in the good ole US Of A???

Stick a caravan on the back of an Omega and you'll get 20 mpg too!

There used to be a 3/3.5 petrol and a 3/3.5 diseasal. And a 5.7 V8 available ....  :-? Just looked at http://www.chrysler.co.uk/300c/models.html & as you say there just seems to be the 2 modela available  :-/
