the children in this area break up a week later than the other schools! they always have done and when they go back they have an extra day off .something to do with teachers training day or something .looking forward to 2010 already ! :y

The Site has been booked again for the first weekend of September, Friday 3rd & Saturday 4th.
This family site is lovely and we have been there and enjoyed it for the last three years.
The Site accepts both Caravans & Tents.
Prices per pitch have gone up this year, but with us going for the Fourth Year the price to us is still £16 per night for both Tents or Caravans. A deposit of a £10 cheque made payable to Mrs. G. Davis dated 3rd September 2010 will be collected by myself (PM me please for my address). I will then collect the remainder of the money myself from everyone when there and set up.
I have sorted with the Owner that all bookings will go through me again for this weekend, NOT people booking themselves over the phone. Sorry about this but it caused alot of confusion in the past.
If you are wanting to go for a week like some members did last year, please will you only then contact the site directly.
As soon as I recieve deposits I will make a "Confirmed List" as a separate thread.
So if you fancy going please add your names to the list below.

Well, as it turns out it looks like I'm going to be touring Scotland in the Westfield the week following Newent. That makes Newent a handy staging post on the journey. Maybe Alton->Newent Friday night, try to get the serious p*ss up over with on Friday, early night on Saturday, Sunday Newent -> Glasgow to meet up with the nutters from www.se7ens.net then onwards into the highlands.
It's a great plan, with only a couple of flaws:
1) Early night on Saturday... Hmm. ::)
2) Westfield is currently in too many pieces, but will be fixed by then.
3) Camping setup is going to be a bit minimal with a weeks' luggage as well.
Got to be a winner, though. :y

Just looked again at this. Unfortunately I'll have to take unpaid leave from work (something else came up and needed the time I had available :() and with our holiday a couple of weeks later I don't think we'll be able to make it :'( :'(

It's a shame as I was going to get the gnome to do my handbrake and also going to fit front discs and pads and give the car a thorough check over for the 3000 mile plus road trip a couple of weeks later ::)

That will not be an issue :y. At worse we will have to send out to top up supplies on Saturday, dependent on whether I bring the decent fridge or just the electric coolbox.
If it packs small, I'm sure I can find room for your camping gear in the car if you don't want to lug it around Scotland.

The Site has been booked again for the first weekend of September, Friday 3rd & Saturday 4th.
This family site is lovely and we have been there and enjoyed it for the last three years.
The Site accepts both Caravans & Tents.
Prices per pitch have gone up this year, but with us going for the Fourth Year the price to us is still £16 per night for both Tents or Caravans. A deposit of a £10 cheque made payable to Mrs. G. Davis dated 3rd September 2010 will be collected by myself (PM me please for my address). I will then collect the remainder of the money myself from everyone when there and set up.
I have sorted with the Owner that all bookings will go through me again for this weekend, NOT people booking themselves over the phone. Sorry about this but it caused alot of confusion in the past.
If you are wanting to go for a week like some members did last year, please will you only then contact the site directly.
As soon as I recieve deposits I will make a "Confirmed List" as a separate thread.
So if you fancy going please add your names to the list below.

If enough people bring a Small bag (they only cost a couple of quid) it'll save us having to go on a 5-mile wood finding trek through wet fields again, plundering stocks form the back of garden centres!
Last year the flames were reaching about 15 feet! ;D

I'll be bringing my tools which includes locking kit, ramps and stands. Chris is going to help me do my rear bushes and I'll be doing my rear shocks/springs while I am at it. Hopefully someone will be bringing a spring compressor ::)

You want to drag her off a sun bed in sunny Cornwall your a brave man, it is her holiday first and for most which she badly needs, so I will be cutting it short to play cars, I'm getting away with murder tbh. Although she is a people person, so won't want to say no, and will enjoy the chat no doubt. We both knackered tbh.

The 2.0ltr has got a deadly misfire and keeps cutting out, it decided to do it at 1am on the M4 ooer! and the 3.0ltr has the oil leak back and I'm not prepared to take it back too SVS for the third time so I've decided to get it fixed locally.Although I haven't got a mortgage any more I think I should pop down too my local Halifax in the morning just in case it gets expensive!! :( :y

Anyway, if I can fit it in it'll be fired up as usual for most of Saturday afternoon and evening for anyone getting peckish (supply your own grub). :y

Gutted though, properly whacked my thumb with a hammer yesterday so gonna have an uncomfortable time spannering.
I was sorting my tools and found a screw-loop I'd bought. It's to fit to the side of the garage, to attach the dog lead to when I'm getting my bike out. I didn't need to do it yesterday and tried to bodge it by stretching up rather than getting the step ladders out...and paid the price.
Bloody typical! >:(

I am sitting in a hotel near Aviemore - watching the rain. ::) Decided to give the driving a miss today.
The Westfield did the 330 miles from Newent to Motherwell on Sunday with no problems at all. Weather was kind to us too after the initial showers at Newent. Arrived about 7 pm just in time to prop up the bar. ::)
Monday saw 250 odd miles up to Aviemore, most of which was pretty hard blatting, culminating in an awesome stretch over the Cairngorms. Again, car didn't miss a beat.
Tomorrow we're taking a suitable scenic route up to Brora where we'll be staying for a couple of nights.

If it was the conversation we had, I said you might have damaged one of the fluid sacs, if that gets infected then, you will have biger problems ....

I suggest you get down there sooner rather than later. Scar tissue can be avoided with physiotherapy now or surgery later

TB that's what was originally diagnosed at the walk in centre - then a visit to the quacks told a different story, it's exceptionally painfull and requires rest and no weight to be placed upon it, I'm on crutches at the moment and I would advise you visit your gp. You do not know what long term damage you are doing by avoiding the inevitable. All the best and drinks copious amounts of whisky accompanied by mind altering medication, well helps me sleep ::)

Same here.Don't get dispondent though I had suffered from bad Knees since my early teens, My dad had arthritis and rhumatism so I thought it's just the way it is genetically. My knees got really bad in my late thirtys and early forties, however I'm now the wrong side of fifty and the Knee problems have dissappeared with no treatment, surgery, drugs or change in life style. I don't know why but long may it continue

I will have an old knee joint and some cruciate ligaments going spare at some point TB. Doc says they are breaked (what do they know) but you might be able to make one good one from two knacked ones. :y :D ;D

Visit the quack/hospital walk in centre and get it checked. I already suffer arthritis in my knees at 33 but luckily it's only a real problem when cold and wet ::) ::)

I believe VXL V6 has the Opelscanner tool, I'm sure he would be willing to show it at any meet he attends ;)
