EV battery production

I tagged this on to the end of another discussion, but then thought it might be worthy of it's own thread

What can you say ? I think most of us knew that all along that there would be consequences switching to EV methods of transport we're all going to die anyway but at least the idiots who think they can save the world can make a few quid, it's very important to them to be the richest person in the cemetery.

I know, Mick, but no mention of stories like this on our left wing to channels. The hypocrisy is sick making. I was reading a story this morning about ground and air source heating pumps. They are totally unfeasible for at least 80% of the country, but it won't stop the government and, as you say, the money men, from trying to foist them on the general population. Look at the space needed for a ground source heat pump. Fūckin laughable.

Imagine everyone having one of those things you see on the walls and roofs of supermarkets going all day outside their house. The noise alone would drive you mad.

Get all those heat pump and aircon fans going at once and the planet could be blown off it's orbit.  :D Then we would be in total shit.  ;D

I think you & I are on the same hymn sheet Steve, the world seems to have gone completely mad & those in power appear to be mad enough to go along with it, God alone knows what's in store for our grandkids.

Plus....the EPC certificate for our house recommends about £40,000 worth of work to insulate it. I reckon with that work plus the cost of the heat pump and changes to the plumbing, it would take me a thousand years to get my money back on energy savings. No brainer, where do I sign?

Then there are scientists who say we are entering a Grand Solar Minimum which will mean global cooling rather than global warming or global heating or whatever the latest hysterical term is.  ::)

It's all happened before so we're led to believe Ice age etc etc , mankind survived through all that, problem is now we're all too soft & there are those amongst us who believe all the ridiculous nonsense that is fed to us now , at the end it's all about cash & how to take it from us.

I think the climate activists realised this a while back, so they changed it from global warming to climate change, a catch-all phrase that can include pretty much anything.

As long as the smug leftists can sleep all warm and fuzzy, no one gives a shit about how stuff happens unless it directly affects them.

Not saying that's right, but it's how it is.
