Oh.....I was under the impression that Al knew where there was a mint example

I mentioned a while back that wifey was keen to trade her astra for an A class, but that's not going to happen while things are the way they are. Took out another 12 month Vauxhall warranty on it  last week, £280 for a car in its fifth year isn't bad.

It’s not exactly mint, but equally it is presentable and use able. No rips in the seats, no real rust in the shell. 82,000, recently serviced, a years Mot and four brand new premium tyres.

Would consider offers around £1,250 Which is less than a knackered Focus with no MoT

Two things:
1) The parts on your Tata were much more expensive
2) The Tata is much more likely to go wrong than the astra.

Two things:
1) The parts on your Tata were much more expensive
2) The Tata is much more likely to go wrong than the astra.

Both of my XFR were 'reasonably reliable'

I'm guessing an old XJ6/12 thrown together in the seventies by Coventry communists would have produced more warranty claims.

I was thinking of getting another auto (slush box only mind you), but, with the crazy prices, SWMBO not driving at the moment and the fact the Vectra is going well, i think i'll keep my wallet firmly closed.
