air intake duct

hi got oil in airintake duct and leak coming from it.any ideas why? thanx

Remove it, drain it and clean it.

Then clean the breathers as per the guide.

Basically the breathers obtain a vacuum from the intake side of throttle body. As the fumes condense as they cool, the oil drains into the intake.

It’s normal, but excess will build up over time.

Also what oil are you using as some is more prone to causing these types of issues... Genuine GM 10w40 is recommended and is readily available from ebay etc for sensible money.

Also, try and avoid short journeys as this will help reduce the problem.  :y

Also check your air filter is clean
