I don't really understand why the BBC/Labour/Millipede are getting so het up about Tax avoidance, which after all is a perfectly legal practice as opposed to tax evasion.  Although it does seem that the line between avoidance and evasion is pretty blurred  :-\, and it is right and proper that HMRC pursue those who engage in tax evasion.  ::)

Millipede has accused several prominent figures of tax avoidance including Lord Fink, who has admitted having a Swiss bank account to buy a pint of milk when he lived there, but then prompted more false outrage from Millipede when he suggested that everyone practices tax avoidance.  ;D

Thing is, he's right!  :y  So when Millipede donates to Comic Relief does he not use Gift Aid, he must have an ISA or 10 and a man who is as wealthy as Millipede will have his affairs ordered to limit his tax liability (legally) in many ways, for example his children's exposure to inheritance tax.  ::)

God help us if this hypocrite gets the keys to Number 10 in May!  :(

Taking SWMBO up to Blyth, Northumberland for her first visit to see our son since i moved him up there. When i go in Google maps the
quickest way is A1 then A19. When i drove the van up to move him i went A1 all the way. So lads, which way would you go.?
The trip is early March so perhaps some of the A1 roadworks will be cleared ::). TIA.

Nah, they'll be adding roadworks for Easter!  ::)  ;D

Poor bastard. He'll have to console himself with a £10 million pay off, a few weeks off in the sun (either Dubai or Barbados) before the phone starts ringing with job offers when some other poor bastard gets sacked.  ::)

I asked my 16 year old cousin recently what he wanted to do when he leaves school and he said he wants to be a football manager.  ::)  I said that he may need a 'Plan B', but I think he's on to something!  :y

How much did you pay for the Elring set and bolts if you don't mind me asking Sir T?

I bought one of these sets which aren't bad, but if I do one again I'll buy the head gaskets separately and all the other bits and pieces from Vx.  :y

I believe Elring gaskets can be had for about £15 each from various suppliers eg ECP.

I used Elring gaskets and they seem fine, but then I rarely take mine above 2000rpm!  ::)  ;D
