Also check the covers themselves are still nice and straight as they go out of shape if they've been over tightened and probably just with age/heat/milage regardless as they're plastic.  ;)

So there's no point in fitting new gaskets if your cam covers are no longer nice and rectangular!  ::)

I was quoted about £220 recently for new covers which included gaskets, which isn't that bad really when you take into account the cost of the gaskets alone.  :y

Could crank sensors be repaired?  ???

I thought it was generally the cable disintegrating that caused the failure?  :-\

I'm not convinced at the quality of Halfords tools as I've had my 170 set less than a year and already destroyed a couple of pieces!  ::)

However they do replace without question, so that's good!  :y  Not so good when your nearest Hellfrauds is 30 miles away!  ::)

I enjoyed TG last night, although pretty 'samey' it was funny.  :y  Was that 'town' that they were racing around in their ambulances some sort of MOD training base?  :-\

Looked like a few of the council estates around here  :D

I bet they have emergency vehicles screaming around as well!  ;D
