i have a replacement ECU to fit..... please help
« on: 05 April 2011, 19:10:01 »

before i go mental with the screwdrivers.... am i right in thinking that:

1. get the 4 screws out the stereo and ease this out
2. get the big screw holding the cage to the dash out and slide cage out
3. take 2 phillips head screws out. pull out ECU, unplug, replace and do reverse to put it back together?

also will i need the ''radio code'' when i refit the stereo?

thanks guys  :y :y :y :y

That`s the climate control panel :) and it`s held in the surround by two "double" springclips

Radio code needed (unless it`s been de-activated). Ashtray can remain if you can reach behind to release elec. connectors and the springclips at each end

....ain`t you got a printer then ::)

On the car pass (assuming you`ve got one). Credit card size with radio & immob. codes....but radio code only relevant to the unit fitted @ production. No pass.....VX will bend you over between £15-45
Audio specialist with the gear will unlock it for about £25-30 or contact DaveDND.....or for what they`re worth, get another

Radio OFF. Ignition ON & radio on & press AS button together. Input code using numbered station buttons. If code was 4567 Press button 1x5....button 2x6 etc (first press will be zero). Once code is in press AS button again to store. Once all done, if you want to de-activate the code request repeat the procedure
Just hope that the code you have is for that actual unit
