Mrs AA's clit Question.

Just given it a service.

When I jacked up the front wheels, there is play from top to bottom, OK from side to side.

Would that be wishbones?

Ball joint.....or wishbones but, they would need to be realy buggered to show play....

In all fairness, it is an old car (albeit only done 3 miles), so the wishbones have every right to look tired....

Just read up how to do it in Haynes....

Jack up and support both front wheels, disconect exhaust downpipe, remove antiroll bar, now you can start on the wishbones.... :(

Front wishbones on a clit are more than I paid for on my Omega :(

...and we thought Omegas were expensive to run and hard to work on.... :o

I have to say GSF www.gsfcarparts.com are usually quite good, I used to use them fairly regularly.

Not found prices on wishbones to be too bad. I have just bought a pair for SWMBO's 306 TD and they were just under £50 in total.

I don't know how this works on the clit, but if it is the ball joint on the wishbone that on many cars this can be drilled-out (it comes riveted) and a new ball joint can be fitted using normal bolts and nuts... is this the case here?
