Omega Electrical and Audio Help / Dim Speedo and Rev counter
« on: 09 July 2010, 06:48:07 »
Hi all

Hoping this will be a easy fix, I'm guessing one of the bulbs has blown behind my speedo as half of it lights up at night and the other side is dim.

How do you go about replacing these?
And what type of bulb is it?

cheers  :y

Well I dunno it was like it when I got the car so maybe the last guy/gal was a bit heavy but it's still working and been about two or three weeks so fingers crossed. If it blows again I'm only 13 stone so I'll be insulted haha  :P

Thanks guy it was a fuse after all :)

Hi guy/gals

My problem is that the driver seat and passenger seat wont raise or lower, wouldn't be an issue however I'm guessing the previous owner was short as my head is on the roof lol so I'd quite like to sort it any clues?

No noise is heard when pressing the buttons so no power i'm guessing is getting to the motors, I'm hoping it's just a fuse but i wanted to see if this is a common fault?

Thanks  :D

The main reasons for them to get stuck are either a distorted transport mechanism or on the magazine the flexi-catch assembly bends then won't allow the magazine to contract.

I don't believe that there is a CD magazine in it ATM as when I push the CD  button on the dash it comes up saying "magazine" which I believe means no magazine in.

Is there a manual way to open/close it?  and also where can I source a magazine from? 8-)

Hi peeps

My problem is that I have the multi-cd player installed but I cant seem to get the button for the magazine cover to open plus I dot have any magazines lol so if anyone can help I would be very grateful  :y

Hi all
Without actually removing the whole unit and doing voltage checks are there any quick checks I should rule out?

Now the boot release still works from key fob's just not from dash so I know it works I just want to get her all working as she should :y

thanks

Are you trying to open the boot with the engine running / keys in ignition?  Because if you are it wont work! ;) ;)
Not sure if I tried with engine off or on lol :-? but thanks for the heads up :y

does it click or thump when you push button because TB i think did a how to in the maintenence section

It's really stiff and I cant hear a clicking or noise i'm guessing it;s got no power source so might have to "cough" borrow a multimeter from work lol and do some voltage checks

also just checked the passenger seat and thats not working either so may just be a fuse anyone know what one and rating?

Omega General Help / Re: Metallic paint
« on: 24 June 2010, 12:34:29 »
The lighter the colour the harder the match, also it depends on if you gave the halfords people the right paint code and if the scrot behind the till mixed the paints right,

Have you tried taking the stuff back to halfrauds and getting a different guy/gal to do it?
