I spent 8 months working at Heathrow and living on the South Coast it was physically impossible to use public transport to commute unless I could reduce my working day to 4 hours. At that it would have involved a 6 hour commute each way, driving my own car it was normally less than 90 minutes each way thanks to the chunk where the M25 was the only option.

My conversion was similar to this. There was a £10 charge for them to put enough gas in to do their work and when I picked it up we drove to the nearest LPG garage (all of 800yards) where he took me through the filling process.
That was an old Rover which was converted for about £1800 and have since bought a converted 2.5 V6 CDX off them for £1000....like their work and very much like their prices

Only a newbie but will chip in and say I have to agree. It's not the selling it on eBay that is the issue but the possibility that there will be endless copies being sold.
Have to hold my hand up to having bought a 'full' Workshop manual on DVD for an old Rover but that was to pull it apart and use it to make a tadpole trike. Needed details which just weren't available any other way and Rover had just gone to the wall. Pirating what has put together by enthusiasts to help other enthusiasts in the hope of making a few quid is pretty desperate and hopefully anyone who is looking for info will see enough in the ad to come to the Forum.
Anyone thought of asking a question which would be visible on the auction to 'accidentally' suggest it has some errors which could cause a problem with re-assembly?

Newbie I may be.....totally hopeless at mechanical things almost definitely BUT....got the refurbed ABS ECU in and all is working fine.
Have to dispute the comments about one of the bolts being hard to get in and probably best left out, all the bolts were a breeze but the engine end of the top hose!!!!!!!!!!  Used up all my swearwords and then some getting that back on and clamped...mutter mutter mutter.
Filled up the fluids and took it once round town and it was brilliant. All I have to do now is work out why it runs lumpy (both Petrol and LPG so that does give me a start point I suppose). Did try checking the plugs but as far as I can tell my V6 only has two, one front left and the other rear left. Can see something which might be the centre plug but as for the right bank, not the faintest clue.
Nearly forgot to mention, three hours to get it out and only two to get it all back...chuffed bunny or what.

Can certainly do some pics of the state it is in at the moment plus the re-install......was concentrating too hard on not losing bits of fingers on all those sharp edges when I was removing.

Finally got off my backside and got started on removing the dreaded ABS ECU. Read through all the posts and was planning on a whole day to get it out but here I am a mere three hours later sitting down with a coffee with clean hands and rattling away on the keyboard.
Anyone who read my Newbie post will know just how inept I am and how little I know about the beast but thanks to Steve W's post about just how far to strip it down I succeeded.
Now to send it off to those nice people in Cowes (my old stomping ground) for a refurb.
With success like this I might even attempt to get the beast resentable enough for a photo, or then again...
