Was asked by a guy in a traffic jam on the M6 today if I was on the forum so I thought I'd stop by and say a big hello to you all, I'm on my 3rd Omega, all have been different (2.5 V6, a 2.0 estate and finally a 2.5 TD) and have loved each of them.... :)

welcome, nice omega :)

Greetings one and all!
Ronnie, I must admit I did wonder who was calling to me across the M6 [smiley=undecided.gif] I think it confused me more as you were driving a Corsa :)
Thanks for introducing me to the forum

You're welcome mate.
As you drive a TD, you'll find myself and MarksDTMCalib and a couple of others have most the answers on this model. I have had 3 of them, including two that needed extensive work.
There are some VERY knowledgeable guys and gals on here. You can be fairly sure that whatever the problem, we have cobered it before, possibly in a previous life on another unmentionable forum.
What we have here is Omega's only. It is the worlds only totally Omega dedicated forum. We all own or have owned Omegas and share a love/hate relationship with what I can honestly describe as a car. ;D
Anyway, glad you have joined. Feel free to ask anything you like, we don't mock.
Ron.

Welcome to the site Belgarion :)

Welcome to the site Belgarion. If you had leaky rocker cover gaskets Ronnie mcb could have done them for you whilst you were in the traffic jam he's that well practiced at them now it's rumoured that he can change a full set in only 43 seconds ;) ;D

Now, had I known he was that good..... incidentally, what is the normal milage between oil changes on the 2.5 TD?

Hello and welcome :)

Now, had I known he was that good..... incidentally, what is the normal milage between oil changes on the 2.5 TD?
According to Vx, 4.5k between oil changes. I would do it more often if possible as its the single biggest (and easy) thing you can do to help engine life...
-
Thanks for that, I have been getting it done every 5k over the last few months (i do a lot of milage)
