There is a lovely 190D for sale on Autoshite at the moment that I would love to buy, but dont have three grand spare.

15 years ago there was a 190 Cosworth sat outside a house 200 yards from me. It obviously hadnt moved for years. Flat tyres etc.
I made enquiries but was told there was no chance of buying it as it had great sentimental value.
Six months later it was gone. 

I had a 190E here for mot this week, 83 on an A plate, 60k miles and looks new all over, needless to say it went straight through test

I quite like the idea of a 240D as a daily beater, if only to slow me down a bit... 

The 190 is a bit on the small side for me as they tend not to be particularly adjustable.

Nice to hear , I personally think the 190e was one of the best MB ever made the one my mate is after is well known to the MB owners club it will not be a " bargain buy " if he decides he wants it.
