General Discussion Area / Best Place to buy Cable Tray.
« on: 12 January 2016, 17:06:19 »
As tittle really, need some this week delivered to customer, nothing special, about 4 floors of the stuff, probably 100 /150mm by 16m, couplers, back brackets, nuts, zebedee's, etc, normally get this stuff from Mayflex, but just checked the cost and its ridiculously expensive.

Any recommendations, obviously cheap, but dont mind paying a tad more for the right service / supplier.

General Discussion Area / Win10 again, No WiFi , No Networks found.
« on: 12 January 2016, 08:41:53 »
Just when things were becoming stable, Update, now the WiFi is not working since Friday on the main machine.

Tried everything, reboots, WiFi on/ off, checked drivers, can't do anymore updates obviously, although it did say unable to update all blah, blah, nothing new there.

Anyone, run out of ideas, I'm not rebuilding (again), if I do its going back on 7, WiFi is on just showing no networks.

For 3.0 / 2.5 Cable Drive (Non DBW)

Widened Performance Induction 3.0 V6 Throttle Bodies, professionally Machined Lathed to enlarge the diameter of both Ports and installed larger throttle Butterfly discs to suit. New (since refurb / modification), never used or fitted.

These will allow more Air Volume through at full throttle, each Port has been machined to allow approx 15% more Air Volume through each Venturi, giving an increase in Power and Torque.

These dont come up very often, if at all these days, and if got from Courtenay Sport directly would cost £423 (£353 plus VAT). More info from Courtenay Sport on these here (bottom of page) - http://www.courtenaysport.co.uk/v6-tuning/info_21.html

Im looking for £185 ono for these, Collection or Plus Postage.

Thanks For looking Chris.

A nice little Freebie !00GB of Cloud Back Up Online space and some very easy to use Software to go with it, needs the Free App(s) to work, which are Ad and Adware Free, and currently available for Windows OS, Mac OS X and Android, (iPhone and Win Mobile coming soon).

Free 100GB Referral link here - https://degoo.com/g/VQvkN4X

The company offering this is Degoo, who is a Swedish based Co and have been providing Cloud and back up solutions since 2009.

Data is Encrypted (128 bit AES, with CBC and PKCS5) and Server Comms is encrypted (using TLS 1.2), and Passwords with PBKDF2 / HMAC512.

I've tried both the Windows and Android Apps, and although fairly basic, it does do what is says on the tin, on the PC you can back up anything from a single File in a Folder, selectable Sub Folders, Winows Back Up Files, Drive Images or the entire Hard Drive or Partition, with Processor options of Eco. Normal or Turbo mode. Recovery is the similar you can select which files or Folders you wish to recover. The Android App is backed up and recovered by category, ie, Music, Videos, Folders etc and these back ups can also be viewed or recovered on the PC App.

Bearing in mind this is a Cloud Back Up solution theres nothing stopping you from having different accounts on each device, ie, Multiple 100gb slot per device using different email sign for each device.

So in the early part of the New Year some changes will happen to your free and some paid for OneDrive Cloud accounts, MS has announced it will reduce the Free 30gb OneDrive Cloud storage to a mere 5gb.

So guessing most people will be on the existing 30gb (Free 15gb + 15gb Bonus Camera Roll) and not realising there Cloud data contents will be at risk in the not so distant future.

Other changes will be to scrap the 100 and 200gb paid for accounts with a 50gb paid for and 1000gb, the later will only be available with an yearly Office subscription.

But there's hope, you can manually opt in to keep your free 30gb account, something MS aren't shouting about too loudly from the roof tops.

Click on this link before the 31st Jan https://preview.onedrive.com/bonus/ and by agreeing to allow MS to email you news and offers, they will let you keep your allowance, you will need to use the link for every free account you have individually.   ;)

If you don't have any free OneDrive Clouds, I suggest you get one / some now.  :y ;)

General Car Chat / Budget Tool Kit, Spare or Second Set. Lidl.
« on: 06 December 2015, 16:13:32 »
Ok, I know its not Snap-On or Halfrauds Advanced, but for 35 quid, might be worth a punt on a budget, a second spare or just carrying around in the boot to get you out of trouble.

General Discussion Area / Home made Bread / Making Machine.
« on: 04 December 2015, 12:13:46 »
Maybe its that time in life for me, but I'm really getting bored of bread, especially the UK kind you find in our Supermarkets.

Apart from the Tiger Loafs that Lidl bake, I tend to buy most of my bread from local Asian / Turkish shops near me, as the bread including the Polish Varity is just some much more tastier.

Here's the thing, probably got too much time on my hands, but thinking about buying a bread maker, tend to get through a lot of the stuff, probably a least 8 quid a week buying bread, so are these home maker thing'ys any good, anyone use one, what's the results like, is it a cost saving thing or is just better bread. Or is the whole idea just one big fuff around and a waste of time?

Been told you can reinstall (download) WMC and install on 10, as long as you have your original WinX key it came with or the Key if you downloaded WMC on a previous version?

Anyone done it, does it work, etc, need to help out a friend whos upgraded to 10 and has now screwed himself with his Home Entertainment setup, not been to have a look yet, just gathering Intel before the visit. According to Google and the like its a non starter.

So whilst some of us will out tonight trying to scare the living daylights out of Young Folk, bare a thought for an Asteroid that will be doing a closest known flypast for its size tonight.

The Asteroid known as TB145 is about the size of Wembley Stadium, and will fly past our planet at around 300,000 miles away, to put that into perspective, our friend the Moon is only 240,000 miles away.

So no real threat for now.  :y

Anyway, enough of all that, here's some music with pictures.  ;)
