I can't remember what the ends look like on the Omega, but I'd go here: https://www.sgs-engineering.com/gas-struts

One of your neighbours who hates you (not too difficult to imagine) has a garage full of stuff meant for you. When you're at work, he stuffs a cushion up his jumper, ambles around your garden, and pretends to be you.  ;D

Ah, but in this (and another ATP order) case, I have proof that ATP's "DHL lost it" is a lie, and that ATP never raised a courier request to DHL to send anything to me. Ever.

I've never had any problems with ATP,I recently ordered the usual wishbone set and two boot struts...arrived in less than 24hrs,actually far better than many UK suppliers. :y

I also found ATP to be the worst company Ive ever tried to deal with. Even worse than craparts4less and that's saying something.
SGS engineering are good to deal with ime.  Although I haven't had bonnet struts from them, or if I have I cant remember.

Well, that's possible, as the only time I called them, my German is very poor, and he claimed to no speaky Englander.

The garage incident came up in a discussion at work (partly because I have been known to store £100k+ of work gear in there in the past ;D).

Anyway, turns out I'm a mere amateur when it comes to destroying buildings accidentally, compared to some members of my team.

So there :P

Getting back to ATP. It quickly became obvious to me that they had sold me parts which they didn't actually have and were having trouble getting hold of. They then tried every trick in the book to stall for time, from sending emails only in German, sending some in English blaming non-existent couriers, to just ignoring all attempts at communication.
I found them a disgraceful shambles from start to finish, and told them so.

Apparently I'd upset Jamie by my 7th post on the forum  :-[
I didn't know he'd left a magic tree air freshener in his car and presented it for MOT  :-X
surprised he hasn't banned me from the OOF many times  ;D

Sgs want the GM part numbers. I looked on mine but they’ve worn off. Don’t suppose anyone knows them?

Gas struts for the earlier pre-face lift had a different part number from the facelift cars that had the grille attached .... not that it probably made much difference  ;)

It actually makes more of a difference than you realise. Fitted a tailgate with spoiler to a Sierra once but didn't change the struts... It wouldn't stay up, ooh er :D

Length of wood-sweeping brush handle or similar-works just as well and is cheaper :y

My own preferable pikey repair is to clamp vice grips to the shaft of the strut to stop it going back down  ;D

it gets in the way. And the bonnet is bloody heavy when you knock the support out.

I've converted several old cars to gas struts instead of a support. The first was a Capri, and the thread on the owners forum ran to pages of where to attach them, how strong they needed to be, how to work it out, where to buy them and whether it was worth doing such an expensive(!) job. I got so irritated by the lack of progress that I grabbed a spare pair of tailgate struts from my stash, drilled an 8mm hole in the hinge web, cut some 1" angle and bolted a piece to one of the topmount bolts, and drilled another hole where the other end of the strut looked about right. Took maybe 15 minutes, and worked for years. The Avenger got a similar arrangement, but used Vectra tailgate struts and I had to weld the angle brackets to the inner wing. Having demonstrated this at an ASOC day, several cars appeared with similar arrangements but everyone had spent loads more time laying everything out to 'do it properly'. All I'd done was ensure that the brackets were symmetrical so they looked right and the flimsy bonnet didn't twist.
