Hi, does anyone know of any sets of the 8.5" fronts and 10" rears for the omega? ST1 shape?
Im really keen to get a set but they seem to be like the proverbial rocking horse muck!

General Car Chat / Just found a 3.2 x police in Z20r, which has had new everything!!

I recently bought a 2002 unmarked v6 special direct from the PSNI here via an auction. When i got it home and put it on the ramp i have made a very nice discovery. She was already a low miler with just 57k but i have now found out that she has had a brand new engine and gearbox. Both have the plates with R part numbers and are lovely and shiny, also a new starter, rear calipers, front pads and backing plates, new centre sections and two new dunlop tyres. The car was bought as a non runner, a  friend found a cut earth wire and live feed to the ecu loom, now reconnected and running really well. One downside is a slipping clutch, however i bought a genuine 3 piece kit on ebay awhile back for 60 posted so it will now have a use. She is in need of a good buff as i would guess its been brush washed all its life, tried a wing and the blue flake is really coming up well The limited slip diff is lovely and tight with no snatching but locked with a dip of the clutch. I intend on doing a progress thread. I already have a brand new prodrive bumper and spoiler to be painted and fitted, mv6 cloth (until i can find leather), silver trim and a good set of late elite/sport wheels. Lowering springs will also help the look of her together with a remus twin square exhaust which is currently on my dad's car.

Hard to get a low miler now and i im looking forward to racking up a few miles on this project when i get it sorted

Hi, i have a 3.2 that has been manualled, just wondering if i put a manual loom in it and change the abs ecu to a manual one will the traction control work?

Omega General Help / 3.2 v6 hard to start.... cranking fine but very lazy to fire

Hi, having some issues with my 3.2, it is getting very hard to start now with a general reluctance to fire especially when cold. Its as if the fuel is running away from the engine and its taking a period of time to get back when you are cranking it.Some times she will start and then instantly quit,  Once she starts it runs very well and when she is hot it will start again no problem. However if left for more than 30 mins the laziness is back. Car has had new coil packs fitted recently and new genuine plugs. Was wondering if it was the fuel pressure regulator or the fuel pump in the boot? Any help would be appreciated.

P.s its not the head gasket, she is losing no water and never boils

Omega General Help / Omega 2.5 td very sluggish low down after manual conversion

Hi, I have just got my omega 2.5td elite manualled and its now very sluggish low down. If you really thrash it the engine eventually picks up but feels asthmatic and unwilling to rev. I plan on remapping it eventually but want this issue cured before doing so. I have had 25 omegas now and the td's normally pull alot stronger than this. Felt quicker with the dreaded AR25 in it. The car has been serviced prior to manualling and is starting on the button, hot or cold.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I was wondering about the MAF or possibly the little boost solenoid near the power steering resovior?

Omega Electrical and Audio Help / Problems fitting bose to my MV6

Hi all, i spent yesterday putting the bose speakers,loom and headunit into my 99 mv6, problem is now that i have no sound, when i turn it on the radio scrolls throught the fm channels unable to find one, i have put the fuse for the bose in and still no better,i have tried an aftermarket headunit in aswell, same issue. Have i forgottwn to put something else in?

Omega General Help / Omega 2.6 v6 problems

Hi, i have two 2.6 v6's and they are both giving me some trouble,
the first one will run fine and then with no indication it quits, and when trying to restart it turns over but doesnt fire up, its definately getting fuel but seemingly no spark.

The other one will start fine and go great when you kane it, its on subtle accelleration that it hesitates and it feels nearly like a miss, sometimes it will idle fine then again without warning it goes off a cylinder and back onto all of them with no interference from me, coil packs have all been checked and are fine, airflow meter has been changed and fuel pump has been checked.
Any help would be greatly appreciated

Hi, i just got a 2.2dti estate and was wanting to put cruise control on it. Anyone know which type of stalk i need? Will a petrol one fit or do i need a dti specific one?

Omega General Help / Anyone ever put a lightened flywheel into v6 omega

Hi, was thinking of putting a lightened courtenay flywheel into my 3l omega, guy from courtenay was sayin due to the lightened one not being a DMF it can cause a slight rattle at idle, if i thought it made as good a difference as it did to my v6 vectra id probably still go ahead with it, Any experience from guys would be helpful

Hi, i have a 3.2 with an ar35. it appears to be in limp mode when in drive mode, no kickdown and very very sluggish take off [feels like taking off in 3rd], if u drive using 1,2,then 3 it drives well, its seems to be in this sluggish mode while in d, any ideas? i have changed the oil and gearbox filter, possibly a sensor?

Hi I'm having problems with my 01 omega 2.5td, it is on occasion when accelerating from traffic lights giving no boost at al in 1st or second gear, if I let it drop to idle again by clutching it the boost wil then work when I accelerate it again, anyone had similar problems? Cheers Al

Hi, my "My Naff Code Reader" is bringing up a code about fuel trim malfunction on bank one and i was wondering what excatly controls this so i can change it. Any help would be grealty appreciated
