Title: elite ariel
Post by: pauls on 09 April 2014, 19:27:16
I take that the ariel for the elite saloon radio is in the rear window. Is the ariel on the roof for the telephone. Is it possible to disconnect the roof and the rear screen ariel and put a radio ariel on the roof.

Basically your be converting your Saloon to an Estate set up. Whats wrong with your current window set up, they tend to work well if working properly.

Might be better to fix that, as (IMHO) a radio aerial on the roof of an executive saloon looks pants. I can't remember any large saloon having a roof aerial, and none with a roof aerial at the back of the roof.

The standard screen aerial should pick up without too many issues. If it doesn't, I'd immediately be checking the connector at the back of the HU - the cable's inner core tend to come adrift from the plug.
