Yes, indeed. Although he was often seen as somewhat of an old fart, he was certainly one of kind, and remember he directed "Death Wish" ! I thought he was quite fun.

So maybe eating is bad for you ?

 . . . or maybe "expensive" eating is bad for you    ???

I remember him saying this when asked about driving around London, it always made me laugh. He was a great character!

 :( Saw him on the "one show" a while ago going back to his childhood home , he looked very frail , best remembered recently for the plaques remembering fallen members of the police force  :(
