I have a NCDC 2013 which is cocked, just trying to find out if its the multi changer or the navi bit thats causing the problem.

If its the navi bit then sure we could do a deal on the multichanger bit

That would be brilliant - thanks very much. :y

Sterling work from Dave at DND Services Ltd cannot mask the fact that my CCR 2006 CD unit needs replacing.

Having successfully got rid of the dreaded "CDC SAFE" error for me Dave has found that the laser power is so weak that it is struggling to actually detect if a disc is present or not, and then struggles to give any playback from the disc.

The reason for this is that the laser is now nearing (or even past) the end of its serviceable life. Genuine laser spares have long since dried up and I know nothing about the use of aftermarket spares. (Anyone know about these?)

Dave tells me that the unit shares the same CD chassis as many other Vauxhall models, such as CDC3 & CCRT2008.

Does anyone have a spare one of these chassis for sale or even a CCR 2006 one that I can use to swap out my one?

If it means anything to anyone, Dave also states that my unit is BOSE configured.

Any help or advice greatly received and again many thanks to Dave at DND Services for all his help and patience. :y

I'd say dave is right with the bonnet switch it lives at the rear of the engine on the passengers side top cornerish area its a rubber stick that pokes up with a ribbed end ;)

unplug it and report that if its not that then it could be the powersounder failing there is a Howto for removing the powersounder in the maintenance section

:o :o :o :o Sounds like an interesting part - its amazing what these Omegas come with. Maybe I need to get my wife to give me a hand on this one  :y :y

Thanks both - I will try it :y :y

Here's a poser for you in the know.

I lock my car with the central locking and the alarm sets. If I double lock it (using the fob still) I guarantee that within a couple of hours the alarm goes off for no reason whatsoever.

It never goes off it I only single lock it.

Why? :-/ :-/

2) As OOF is a registered and accountable organisation, it would be deemed liable to prosecution if it allowed its members to discuss any illegal activities within its open forum.
Nothing illegal was being discussed, I simply stated that TT software is all over the net (and that was all that was said).
However if OOF are worried about the potential for being prosecuted, it may be prudent to edit the speed camera thread as at least one member stated that he would commit arson if he was ever caught by a camera (which could be deemed inciteful).
When you're done checking that one, the Kwik Fit thread contained numerous comments that could be deemed libellous so it might be an idea to pull that one as well ;)

I do understand what you are saying, but talking about what goes on and actually doing it (or helping someone to do it) are 2 completely different things.

Personal opinions and a guy being an arse are commonplace these days, and trying to bring a prosecution on that basis is nigh on impossible - however, the two companies in Question, Tom Tom and Trafficmaster are exceptionally keen to throw around their weight when it comes to pirated software, as that is the single largest source of income on both companies, and from what I can see the discussion was "pruned" as OOF could not openly allow its members to discuss seeking alternative ways around legitamate software.

Pleae don`t start firing back with other threads that need pulling, thats just silly. Whilst I may agree with some of your comments also, we unfortunatly live in a world that is full of litigation, and we are no longer allowed to speak as freely and openly as we often feel we should.

I like the way this forum is monitored and run, its a friendly, safe and informative way of helping each other and discussing problems and solutions that can be of significant benefit to fellow Oofers around the globe - So let leave the Moderators alone, not attack them and let them keep OOf running the way it is.

The moderators have spoken on this issue, and this issue alone. Their word is final, as its their forum, not ours.

Couldn't agree more with you Dave. :) :)

Just to clarify the situation, we were asked to do this website but the client decided against using it.

From what I can remember there are 2 images used on there that came from OOF and I had / have DM's giving me permission to use them from the people who posted them initially. I cannot find one of those DM's now so I have removed that image. The other DM I still have a copy of.

Darth Loo-knee's phone number on the site is an oversight and has now been removed.

This website presence is part of our business portfolio showing the type of website work we do. It can be found here along with other examples:

ftp://http://www.online-selling.co.uk/our-portfolio.htm

As you will see one page on the site ftp://http://www.online-selling.co.uk/theomegamen/public_html/diy.htm helps to promote OOF which was one of the reasons we left it there.

If the moderators doesn't want us to promote OOF just send us an email or DM and we will happily remove the reference and link to OOF.

Had exactly the same about a month ago. I'm told its the silencer part for the Back Box of the exhaust. I had to replace my whole exhaust. :(

Depending upon the state of the rest of it you may get away with just a new back box. :y

Today the Omega was vibrating like mad between 55 - 75 but was not so pronounced over 75. Vibration is through the steering wheel and if I put my hand on the auto gear knob I can feel it there as well.

Therefore took to have the wheels balanced today. Slight improvement but I'm afraid vibration is still there.

What do I try next?  :-/

Driving to Worcester and back tomorrow - I'll be a jibbering wreck by the time I get home :o :o

Guys
Have a 2.2i petrol estate, 2001 x plate, it is going to need a rear box and centre box very soon, were is the best place to get one from at a reasonable price.

Original VX/opel exhausts are really good quality and have long life..

Used to be good quality, I think the new batch of exhausts are of the cheap type and hence not worth the money anymore.

I hope they are - I put a new VX back box and mid section on last week!! :o :o
