That is very nice indeed..👍

For that sort of money, especially given the claimed mileage, I would expect it to be perfect.
Which it isn't. Both bumpers are marked, one of the front ABS cables is hanging down and whoever fitted that lpg kit needs shooting. :-X
-
Sorry, it would be a no from me. Cannot imagine why anyone would spend that sort of money on that :-\

Agreed. It's a big chavvy Vauxhall, that's missing it's Holden steering wheel badge. ::)

The claimed mileage means it's meant to be parked in a fancy garage, and admired. Every extra number on the speedo knocks a chunk off the value.
Welcome to the pointless world of minimal mileage 'collector cars'

Those seats should be in an American diner...they are orrible :-[

If that's what you want from life, surely a monaro/VXR8 and about £5-10k in change would be preferable?

+1. They look hideous :o

Nice Car! Does Holden Commodore and Omega have same "frame" or is Holden wider. Just thinking is it possible to put that 5.7 to Omega...
-
Putting the LS1 V8 into the Omega can be done RobesyMV6 has done it[with supercharger?]for one.

There's a handful of common parts, and a visual similarity, but that's it.
The V8 fits. Just. GM actually built a handful of prototypes and started producing parts... The subframes being the most significant part. Most of these were bought by a chap in the States who offered V8 converions of the Cadillac Catera. Some serious digging required to find any now.
Robs 'MV8' has a Monaro front subframe and suspension along with a modified Monaro rear one. Between the air conditioning, lpg and supercharger plumbing there's barely room to drop a fag paper under the bonnet ;D
The chassis can take the power. Which is nice 8)

I love the way it looks like a Honda from behind and a Proton from the front. :D

My first thoughts were it looked like a Civic saloon. :y

Sold for £15,750.

That's almost VXR8 money, and the VXR8 is a much better car.

Yes it only has its rarity going for it.
-
Silly money.
But look at the Lotus Carlton market. Few years years ago there were 2 cars that stood out in the market. 1 was a garage owner that had his in a car showroom from day 1 and just for show , when he put it up for sale it was slow to move as people wouldnt pay the money & the other was a 20K miles car. The later was for sale for ages for £20,000.
Now if you want a Lotus Carlton a scabby abused one starts at £80K
Plus when I looke on Autotrader last night I see all the Omega were twice the price they would have been a few years ago., saying that there were 3 low mielage cars shame they were basic models.
The Worlds going mad.

£15,000 cheap performance car & a bit of fun for the summer, and it's a rarity good luck to whoever bought it..😁

A facelift Omega and sixth gen Honda Accord are very similar. But cars have always been like that.

Not quite mad enough yet. I thought I'd test the water and rang a well known online classic car auction site. They weren't interested in my immaculate MV6 :'( but at least it means I get to keep it for a bit longer ;D
When I got it out of storage the other day for its MOT the owner of the barn (which is full of classic exotics) said it was his favourite and he leaves it near the door, because he knows that it will always start and just sits there purring away while he has to push the other cars in and out. Needless to say it sailed through the MOT without a single advisory :y And the air con still works!

When you've got one as good as yours sounds keep it, you just don't see them anymore.

Agreed, looks like a fairground car. But the V8 would be nice, what is happening to Gixer’s V8 project TB?

Very slowly, I can’t remember how long it’s been. :-\

Too long and he'll need to convert it to electric :P
everyone's banging on about climate change now :(
-
V8 lpg generator :D
-
Hopefully there will still be petrol available for at least 15-20 years of so after 2030 otherwise someone who bought a petrol car in the last month of 2029 would be a bit peed off.
Plus ,although it's possible to convert cars to electric il be reluctant to do any of mine unless absolutely necessary.the omega with its v6 sounds great and to be honest so does my 1256 viva .wouldnt want to loose the character.most of the character/sound comes from the engine/gearbox/ exhaust combination.
Lots of classic owners are of a similar opinion but hopefully petrol availability will outlive us !

Who's Gixer? ::) ::)
I still don't know what I did to upset him! :-\ :-\
