I think if we made a time machine and went back 200 years and asked the working population their view on the Chinese sniffle their response would be less fearful than we see today.

I doubt they'd shit themselves. ......especially as average life expectancy was probably about forty.

I know three people who have had Omicron. No more than a mild cold. I'm surprised I haven't caught it, or maybe I have I but didn't notice.

Just out of interest, how does that square with 1. Somthing million people in the uk with long covid? I.e. their body is not perfming correctly?  I seem to remember Lewis Hamilton ( top class athlete) had Covid and wasn’t right for a while after. Joe public aren’t “ athletes”. Do not underestimate the impact. But then you like to provoke controversy!

I find it amusing that the need for PCR testing is being removed as 11/01, they think there are staffing problems now, well wait until every bugger can just report a positive LFT to get 10 days away from work with no questions asked nor do they have to prove they are infected via a confirmation PCR

Well, after 7 days, still testing positive.

Have two tests left, which is a moot point as Sunday is Day 10 and I will be free again provided my only symptoms are loss of taste/smell or a cough.

The most debilitating thing thus far, and only lasted a few days, was the headaches.

Long term time will tell, but it hasn't changed any of my thoughts on the subject.
