I'll stick mine on www.martinimber.co.uk tonight.

And this will add to the post count.

We still need a chat area for non technical queries!

And where can I dump my LPG notes?

I spent a large part of last week driving with a lap top connected monitoring the LPG ECU - learnt a lot!

The main credit for the way the forum looks has to go to Jamie (TheBoy).

He has done a lot of work to get us where we are, so BIG thanks to him.  [smiley=2vrolijk_08.gif]

Also I hope you guys like the pic at the top. That was down to the very impressive creative abilities of Finlays son Ben  :D

Now, the others have said it already, but may I be the last ( [smiley=embarassed.gif]) to welcome you all to the new forum.

Couple of quick points to make clear.

Please, no insults towards VxON.
It is a very good site, run by very commited people and I truly wish them every success.
There was a difference of opinion in how things should be run, and that is what caused the problems.

It is in the past, and there it will stay.
This is about moving forward and creating not only THE resource for all Omega owners, but also about building on the fantastic community spirit we all created previously.

If you have any suggestions, drop us a PM and we will see what we can do.  :)

Enjoy

Dave

Ha haaa - well this was organised quickly, and looking very swanky too!!  Hello everyone!  Thought it'd be rude not to sign up.

Wonder if this place will actually empty VXONs omega population?  Not that they'd notice to be honest.  Couple of Q's / suggestions...

1.  Is there an effort to get all the VXON how-2s put up here, provided of course their original authors allow it?  Would be nice.

2.  What about a gallery section or users personal photo archives that accept uploads of pictures?  This is a very useful feature on my usual home - www.locostbuilders.co.uk.  I guess you'd need the storage space/bandwidth, but it is great not to have to faff about hosting pics somewhere on the net and linking to them.  But then I suppose who'd want to see loads of pics of standard omegas :P i dunno might be useful for "what the hell is this", "where is...", how2s etc etc etc.

3.  Mods - shouldn't this be in general Chat? ;D ;D ;D

Good work all involved,

Liam

Hi Mark. Good to see you and glad you are with us.

Thanks for the support to each and everyone of you. I genuinely think that this will grow into THE forum for Omega owners worldwide. Within the first 24 hours we have had many familiar people convert to us. That in itself makes it all worthwhile.

Remember guys and gals, this is YOUR forum. We can all make it as good as we want. As previously mentioned we are a new forum and very much open to suggestions and critisims. There is a suggestions box and ALL suggestions are welcome. Wherever feasible and for the good of the forum, we will impliment all suggestions and changes that we can.

Although there is a small group of people behind this forum, nobody is 'in charge' as such. We all are, you, me, everybody.  Yes there are Administrators and Moderators as you will all appreciate ther has to be someone running the thing, but I for one and I am sure I speak for the others, will have no hesitation in giving up my post if at any time people feel I am not doing my job properly. The forum is much bigger than me and I want it to succeed for the good of all omega owners.

So, thanks a million to all of you for making this such a great and encouraging start.

Cheers
Fin [smiley=thumbsup.gif]

As Ronnie McB has said, this is your place. We don't mind critisism, and we're sure there are things we haven't considered that you think is a good (or bad) idea. Please post them up in suggestions box.

I am glad that Laidback66 has taken on the main moderator role. The work he did elsewhere was excellent, and helped build that site into what it became. Hopefully, under his guidance, this forum came become what that place was destined to be.

I will happily stand down as an admin once this place is up and running if that is what is wanted by you.

Hi all, and thanks to ****** for pointing me over here (damned web address was ghosted by VxON, but "reply" revealed it).

Think I can guess the reason for the new forum/board, and that's fine by me. I'm glad to see the omnipresent, omnipotent members of old are here, and that we have a board where we can concentrate on the miggy. Hope to see you all around.

(edited to remove referer's name - seems that VxON are banning people for "spamming" this site)

Hmmm, seems like this thread has been busy since I last looked at it!
A very warm welcome to all the people who have joined since I last said welcome!  ;D

We aim to do things right. We will get it wrong sooner or later (Mark is excluded from that comment as he is never wrong!  :P) and when we do, please tell us so we can learn from our mistakes.

As we keep saying, this is here for all Omega owners (and potential owners) so let's continue to wrk together and make this the best owners forum anywhere!  :D

I am glad that Laidback66 has taken on the main moderator role. The work he did elsewhere was excellent, and helped build that site into what it became. Hopefully, under his guidance, this forum came become what that place was destined to be.

Heck I had to do something, since you are rather more adept with the software than I am! ;D

I will happily stand down as an admin once this place is up and running if that is what is wanted by you.

The h*ll you will!!  :)

Hello all

I've been out of touch for a couple of weeks, daughter's wedding & all, so it was a surprise to visit you-know-where. After working out how to contact Dave and seeing this new forum, I had no choice but to sign up, did I. Dave, Jamie, Mark & Finlay, you've done a wonderful job, as ever. Congratulations.

Jeremy
