Hi, new here.

Why has no one bought these yet!? If I had access to a facelift in the scrappy I'd have nabbed everything off it and facelifted my pre-'00 Omega by the afternoon!!

Like I say... IF....you just dont see '00-04 models in scrappies!

It's not an Elite, but you DO have the lovely V6 motor, and frankly, it doesnt get much cheaper than this one! It's a lovely car, too.

If I were looking for a cheap car I'd get this, then spend the next few months/years 'Elite-izing' it. It'd be easy to put in some suitable leather, wood trim, maybe a spoiler /replacement alloys and you'd have a very nice car, and not just 'another' Elite (not knocking Elites, don't get me wrong)

Honestly mate, keep holding out for the right price. You've kind of shown your hand too early, by dropping to 1300, anyone will be expecting 'few quid more' off, now, because people are cheeky like that. (Well, I am!)

She's a stunning car, and well worth the original price. Everyone knows it's worth it. You will get your price. Be strong!!

Gorgeous

That's gotta be worth getting back on the road, especially in THAT colour!! She (sorry HE) looks utterley wonderful.

Hope it goes back on the road, and very nice to see you have a real emotional attatchement to it. Hope it does go to a good home.

One of my favourite bodykits, too!

Can I ask how did you paint the headlamps? I had this idea while ago, but wasnt sure you could get the clear covers off to get at the chrome.

Oh, and did you key the chrome before spraying, as I would have thought the paint would start flaking off through heat?

Sorry to fire questions at you! Love the ascona, too, by the way!

Cough cough....It has clear repeaters on now mate but never got round to doing the washer jets

She looks great, like I say it's what the facelift could have looked like. The silver surfer!

Clear repeaters are 4 pounds something each, so real bargain!

VERY nice look on the car, agreed on the colour coded pressure washers, too. Very  nice effect....what the facelift could have looked like!

Hi if you mean the hand brake handle, on the Elite it is leather covered and so is the Auto gearstick, i love the leather looks so nice and finished off, if you find an Elite and are careful you can take them off sometimes as i got one for my first Omega 2.0 GLS from a Opel Elegance, was hard to remove but worth it
Cheers Kack

Thanks loads for that titbit of information, Ive always had to slum it on CDXs all these years, so never been aware of such a subtle thing as a leather covered handbrake lever, but now I know it's there i suppose i'm just going to have
to have it!

If i ever cross over the sea to get to see my mate nr Belfast, Im going to have to make a special journey to say thanks in person!  :)

Hi nice motor, where did you get the roof rails in chrome very nice, would like for my other MV6 Estate omega Thanks Kack
ps where abouts are you in norway as i have a cousin living in the north of the country

Im guessing he wet n dried them, or paid someone to wet n dry them...yes?

If he's got time, then he did them his self, if he's got sense he'd get someone else to do it! Real pain of a job, so I was told my a Carlton owner who did the same.

The consolation is they look utterly gorgeous! Well done.  :y

Its Diamond Black mate, quite similar in colour to my Omega

Did someone say Diamond Black!?!?

Now that's a FINE colour!! Possibly even nicer on a Calibra, than on an Omega. Lovely.  :o :o :y
