You should AVOID  fitting something that only meets minimum requirements  :o
the CDX has lots of toys and electrical systems
go for a direct replacement to OEM or better ,that will fit in the space
096 /100
example clicky
shop around ,don't fit an under size battery , it will not end well

I understand that it was just an example. However I very strongly advise that you don't buy anything from the seller linked to "example clicky" in the post above.

Look at the recent negative feedback. I can confirm that it doesn't do justice.

Try somewhere reputable like Tayna batteries.

Your car would have left the factory with a 66Ah and circa 500CCA Vauxhall branded Delco battery, no longer manufactured. At L278mm x H175mm x W175mm, this battery was UK physical size 100. These days good equivalent batteries come as 70Ah and 640CCA. Low profile 096 batteries are also the correct physical size but have a bit more capacity. Standard 096 are 190mm high and might not fit.

I've just measured the battery in mine and it is 190 high. seems to fit OK.
However, I think it has an incorrect battery fitted as despite being tall it is a lot shorter. (and has failed)
Any reason not to go with the biggest that will fit? If you plan to go with one of the better makes, there is only about £10 difference on the Tanya site.

Mine are 275mm long 170mm wide and 190mm tall and just fit the battery tray.
