If you dont want the stench of burning rubber, drill a lot of holes in the rubber part of the bush then whatever means of brute force and ignorance to knock the rubber part out.
Then hacksaw the outer metal ring until its almost cut through then knock it out with a small chisel.
As mentioned, always best to fit polybushes in the front, once the old bushes are out.

 This ^^^^ for fronts,
Poly fronts, std rubber for rear.
I had the advantage of a 30tonne press, to push rears in,

If your doing rear suspension donuts I think there's a guide, they aren't to difficult with common hammers and pry bars to remove, and washing up liquid to replace
I use KY jelly, slips straight in  :y

KY is good as it's water based, and oil or grease might allow it to continue moving once fitted.

Omega General Help / Re: Front Caliper bolts etc
« on: 01 June 2021, 19:06:58 »
Looks about right for the bolts.

Why aren't you reusing them?

This. Clean them up, re-thread lock and torque to spec. Also, if you're going to this much trouble, why not change the nipple too? Also make sure you have a nipple cover, it helps to stops them rusting in

Well if it was that easy I wouldn't be asking the question  :D

Yep have replacement bleed nipples already for them  :y

The existing calipers are Brembo 18Z six pots that are going to be used elsewhere, the used pair of calipers I have been refurbishing to fit are missing the specified bolts  :y

It's all part of a long term plan  8)

He's got a big brake kit from our Polish wizard ;)

If you have friends in a local Bus Garage, or plant hire, ask them for some Shell spirex.

This stuff.  https://www.lubricantsupplies.co.uk/buy-shell-spirax-s2-atf-ax-x-20-litres.html

Omega General Help / Re: Aux belt tensioner seems loose
« on: 28 May 2021, 20:13:29 »
Iirc it's a 6pk2100 belt.
Would be a tad loose.
V6 with aircon compressor = 6PK2020
V6 without aircon or compressor omitted = 6PK1900
The best ones are Contitech. Some makes, eg Gates, specify belts that are slightly shorter and are therefore harder to fit.

 Thank you, I wasn't 100% sure

Ad-blue faults... Your lucky you haven't got Trucks.. 1000 is normally the smallest bill,  Advice for those who have ad-blue, keep tank topped up, and use good quality ad-blue,.

Why? It's there to help cool the engine, so if it's not there,,, engine will run hotter, and hot oil doesn't lubricate very well.

He's just doing what most people do,when they get kicked out of a job, bitch and slag there previous employer off. Cummins will slowly fade into insignificance, and possibly have a car accident,or be found with something on his lap top .
