General Car Chat / Re: So what have you done to your car today?

Driven it down to Croydon again , be glad when this property is cleared and on the market , but got to say that the drive down in the Range Rover is superb.

Bet the locals thought, there's a new dealer on the patch, you rolling up in a Range.

Omega General Help / Re: Brakes - ECP
« on: 16 April 2021, 14:31:56 »
If that 190 is for all four discs, pads and the fittings, I wouldn't hesitate. The price is reasonable, and ECP are convenient.
I'd probably add the handbrake shoes for another 20 if they haven't been done in the last decade...

Yes all in and free delivery I believe

I never actually use the hand brake so didnt bother adding that or rear shos to the list.

It's required for an MOT.

The shoes don't wear out, but the linings can come unglued.

You have to adjust the shoes to get the disc off, and it's frustrating to have to stop work and acquire another part.

This makes the rear brakes fit and forget for several years.

I agree with all of Dave's post

 Agreed..  :y

If you have F/L it needs carbon activated filter, or the climate control goes funny.

For brakes and discs give Keithabs a pm he quite often has some good deals, and GM pads. :y

Omega General Help / Re: Performance air filter
« on: 11 April 2021, 16:40:48 »
Having played about, with "after-market" filters in a previous life, when every Bit of HP was wrung out of the machine, and spending hours on the rollers, the STD paper filter performance was identical to the so called performance filter.

The Omega doesn't like oiled filters, it kills the MAF,.

So I would stick to the std filter, and the extra alleged 100bhp you'll get won't be noticeable.

Apparently at his funeral next Saturday, Prince Philip will be carried to his final resting place in the Royal Vault in St George's Chapel, Windsor, in a hearse based on a Land Rover...... which he designed himself.  8)

Should be interesting!  ;D

Obviously no Omegas left, so he used 2nd best :)

Omega Electrical and Audio Help / Re: Pick up 12 volt under dash

15amps??? Is it a compressor fridge or a cool-box,, the only time them cool-boxes draw 15amps is when you set them to heat, the standard fag lighter in the back are sufficient for a cool- box, if it's a compressor fridge, then I would be looking to run direct from battery.

Rest in peace, Prince Phillip. :( You may have caused a bit of controversy at times, but you spoke your mind. I applaud that :y

Yes, indeed, he is the Royal, along with the Queen, I have known about all my life.  May he indeed rest in peace as he did much worthy work, most of it behind the scenes. He was is own man. :y

You move in higher circles to know the queen and his consort. I have seen them on tele and in the papers .  We will watch out for you at the funeral whichno doubt will be shown on all channels. Black hat?

Him and Ken Bruce are the only decent thing left on R2, the rest are all wokey, filling in the correct PC/ gender and demographic.... I mostly have Union jack radio on now...

Ken Bruce has been around the block too ..... I reckon it's about time he stepped down too

I think Ken Bruce, is hanging on until he is pushed, when you listen to him you know he is struggling to tow the BBc line, and I would guess by his tone he doesn't like Winey vine,..
