Sounds silly but will a Vectra one fit... Or are they different underneath?

Genuinely trying to help and not take the piddle for once...

A valid point, as it's a Vectra/Signum wearing a Saab frock.  I wouldn't know The answer, but they'll be someone who does  :y

On the contrary, there are many thousands of Vectras with the B207 engine, and Vauxhall Signums as well (including mine). Vauxhall refer to the B207 as the Z20NET.

However, the issue is not one of bore differences or engine compatibility. Differences in bore size can be fixed using a reducer pipe. As for engine compatibility, many Vectra Z19DTH owners often fit an exhaust from a B207-engined Vectra, so that's not the problem. The problem lies in the small differences to the floorpan between the 9-3 and the Vectra. The Vectra has a one inch longer wheelbase, hence the centre pipe will be a different length, and the rear overhang is a different length hence the tail pipe will not sit in the correct position. The biggest problem is that the back box on the 9-3 is mounted at a different angle to how it is on the Vectra hatchback, hence the mounting points will be in completely the wrong position.

Exhausts are generally only compatible between cars with the same body. The 9-3, the Vectra hatch, the Vectra estate and the Signum all share the same chassis, but small differences in the wheelbase and rear overhang mean exhausts can't be swapped between them.

Being a 9-5, it should be an easier fit then ;)

I guess, my question would be define sensible, also, which engine, 1.9tid I'm guessing?

I used to buy all my 9-5 bits from Neo Brothers. Excellent service every time. They have OEM spec cat-backs for £160. Obviously depends on what engine is in though.

brexit ???
Its what "we" wanted, remember.

I feel your pain, as there are no end of bits I can't get from the EU without a hefty surcharge, although most companies I deal with have simply stopped supplying the UK.

They have settled, Trucks coming in are back to normal levels, got friends going out regularly, all the agents seem to be on the ball,...

I had an item delivered last week from Holland, ordered on line paid all chargi, arrived in a week, was still cheaper than buying from UK...

Can somebody remind me, who the company was that did the omega exhaust, as I can't remember, There was Eternal it's the other one I can't remember
