Not quite right.... Truvelo's are digital, and all the new generation ones are. But there shed loads of Gatso cameras which are all film based and are limited to 400 pictures before it runs out

I know where there is one and when they put a new film in they calibrate using a traffic car.

i was doing exactly 80 i thouight it was a 60 but my mate said it was a 70 so we will soon find out. but i thought it only flashed once.

andy :'(

So you thought it was a sixty area, and so thought it was okay to be doing +20mph over ?.

As you've said you 20yrs, and with a six month probation for gaining 6 points hanging over your head, you known about this when you past your test, so perhaps you need to be little more careful from now on chap  ::).

Well maybe there's a lesson for you here, if you don't get anything through the post you got lucky, but if not then it's going to be not only expensive if you have been caught out, but you could end up coming down to a 2.0L Mig !!!!.

Following on from Smegmatt's piece there may be another consideration before revealing too much detail on public forums;

Careless driving (driving without due care)
This offence is committed when the accused's driving falls below the standard expected of a reasonable, prudent and competent driver in all the circumstances of the case.

Conduct whilst driving, such as:

•using a hand held mobile telephone while the vehicle is moving;
•tuning a car radio;
•reading a newspaper/map;
•selecting and lighting a cigarette/cigar/pipe;
talking to and looking at a passenger;

Driving without due care and attention

The main question must be what amounts to what driving due care and attention. There is no statutory description and what this phrase means. Each case is decided on its individual facts. The general principal is that the Prosecutor must prove beyond reasonable doubt that the Defendant was not exercising that degree of care and attention that a reasonable and prudent driver would exercise in the circumstances.
