Incidentally, if NLS, Monroe do an alternative with two caveats... firstly, they are more expensive than the GM ones and secondly the air connection might be different.

Also worth searching the part number on both German and US ebay :y

The Monroe air shocks do have a different fitting to the standard Elite air shocks, they have a push n screw fitting, whereas the GM shocks have a click n forget type connection...

If you fit the Monroe's, you will need to cut the GM connector off... Make sure that there is a small (very) O ring with them, for the connector, otherwise air will escape and the airpump won't be quiet...

New fuel filter - it fought me, as they always do.  ::)
New Bosch 246 coil pack. Car running sweet again now.  :)
Plug wells were full of water when I took the old coil pack out, so I didn't manage to seal the scuttle when I thought I had, so back to the drawing board on that one.  :( ::)

Found 2 cracks in me new windscreen...... not a happy bunny today....!!!

Also, I think the CTS that go fitted not too long ago has gone faulty as the temp guage on the dash isnt reading correctly..... either that or the stat is stuck open or the dash guage has gone faulty...

getting really pissed off with my Omega at the moment....

Might give that a try some time soon. In the meantime I have wedged a piece of thin Perspex in there to deflect the water down the back of the engine.  :y

That has the unintended consequence of trapping heat in that corner of the engine bay...

No foam means no slow drip water trap and an improved drain line down the bulk head... no water build up equals no futher coilpack water damage ;)

Had a rear tyre repaired and a new front tyre put on,cleaned the throttle body-all on the V70.The Elite just sits there being ignored, must get round to fixing it to fulfil a promise I made and once that's done I can sell it.
