If the motor is not running, probably a microswitch inside the door lock motor is high resistance when closed.

If you remove the motor you can dismantle it and check, or change the motor.

You do need to be able to open the door though.......

hi, same problem here. seems that the gearing in my locking motor has lost a few teeth, works occasionally but most of the time not at all. its good fun taking the door appart , but getting to the motor is a nightmare, obviously people that do it more often may have easy ways of doing it.

as for the door dead locking, i managed to pull hard on the lock and eventually it came open, will so often deadlock again but now i know how to open it its not a problem.

now just need to get a replacement, i could risk getting one from a breakers, you could even use the ones from a later ed saab, as they are the same pn

anybody got a cheap supplier?

cheers
