2.5 Drift Taxi
« on: 08 June 2011, 13:40:39 »

So, I bought a 2.5 V6 to do drift taxi's in at PVS this weekend from elstree studios through ebay for £400  :y

Sailed through an MOT then straight to Garage-D in watford for some 3-way diff action...

Ive also cut the springs, fitted a bucket seat and extended the handbrake lever, oh and wire the flashy lights back up!

Then did a bit of a shakedown at essex arena comp last saturday and came 3rd (I span in the semi like an idiot  ::) ) Went well, everyone was amazed it was basically stock  :y

Its quite good, better on fuel than I thought. Plans now (if it survives) is to rid the cats and maybe put my 3.2 cams in it from my dead engine from the one in my sig and have fun  :y

Cheers  :y

Id say no, but then Ive been doing it a while. To be honest anyone can do it, although you ideally need a locked or tight lsd. The standard lsd is not too bad in the rain though, open diff will only really work with momentum and/or a proper thrashing!

Ive got this car up for sale now (as I have just got a 3.0 to use a bit more seriously) but literally all I did to it was chop the springs, weld the diff and throw a bucket seat in! But driftracing.co.uk do experience days up at the pod (I used to teach for him too) if you fancy giving it a go in someone elses car  :y
