Omega General Help / Exhaust valves
« on: 06 July 2021, 12:45:50 »
Hi all. We have MV6 X30XE Omega 1997. We have added new head gaskets, also exhaust manifolds were machined etc…. So, we were building this again and think we did something wrong with timing belt.

After starting and trying to wake engine up tensioner were loose and seems belt has jumped few or more teeth. Problem is that ALL exhaust valves are open. Do you think that loose and jumped timing belt issued this? Is it possible that all exhaust valves are bent and no one of inlet valves not?

Seems that all inlet valves are correctly closed, it is quite easy to see them when intake manifold is removed.

So, any hope?  Or do we just have to take cylinder heads off to see what has happened?
