2.5td code 49
« on: 28 November 2013, 14:22:39 »

Got this code up the other night about glow device which is obviously about the heater plugs. The car starts perfect cold or warm with no problems what so ever. The got a remapped brain put in recently which ran perfect for a couple of days then I changed the inlet manifold and it wad feeling very down on power for a few weeks.  Then 2 days ago its seems to be running fine with SOME of the lost power regained.

Code code 49 be being caused by anything other than the heater plugs? ?

Why did you change the inlet? And what remap is it?

If 49 is the glow plug one (cant remember), then its of no concern if the car starts OK.

Was putting on a nicely painted manifold.  All vacume hoses are replaced and gaskets all good. Its a custom map a friend of a friend done. But like I said when 1st went in was perfect and really fast and transformed the car until I changed the inlet.

Pain in the arse

Should be able to reuse, I think I only changed mine once in the time I had the car, and the intake was always being taken off for one reason or other...
