Author Topic: Just bought this ....  (Read 3018 times)

Just bought this ....

.... for a body off resto. Looks a bit sorry for itself, been sat in someone's garage for 4 years.

Biggest headache is the blue paint bomb someone let off in the engine bay ( chassis is all that colour too ! ). Have to re-build ( somehow) that hard top too. And the red has to go ... I was thinking metallic gun metal grey.

Anyway, apart from being potentially gay ... it's an Onyx Firecat with a Uno engine ... might rip that blue thing out and get a turbo unit in there.

Lots to do .........

Kit car Tunnie. TBH not really my cup of tea -- but I wanted something to play with  ::)

100 were made -- maybe 10 of those smashed, 10 never assembled, so I am guessing about 80 on the road (maybe ::))

Only taken it a few yards  ::) No T&T  ::)

Plus 95% of the exhaust system is currently flexi-pipe -- sounds good -- but doubt if it's strictly legal  :D

But I reckon it will be a laugh. By all accounts they go well, even with the Uno 138A engine.

Now there's a thought  ;)


Mate of mine had a Sylva jester with 4x4 and a tweaked Uno Turbo engine. Nothing could beat it off the line on the occasions when it would start. Plenty came sailing past shortly afterwards though. ;D

Those Uno Turbo's where bloody quick, I once tried taking one on and lost arround city back streets very very late at night when there was no one arround, so that and 4x4 in a kit car should be awsome.
