My family moved to Dunstable in 1971. At that time everyone in Luton & Dunstable either worked for Vauxhalls or one of their suppliers.
Vauxhalls & Bedfords were everywhere . Being young I didn't really notice them at the time but the Victor & Ventora were a cut above the common herd.

I banger raced a ,72 2300 one of these. Managed to get four full meetings out of it before it died. Many good hits went in with it so it was quite a bit shorter than it started out

Uncle bought a brand new VX2300 in 1976-remember it was maroon in colour and I think the reg was NBO 244P.
Nice car but after a few years was full of rust.

i had a 1975 in olivine met. green 2300 it was a beautiful car, traded it in for cav. sports hatch also a lovely car think this is how the VX love affair started! :D
