Front Brake Kit Spare Part Number
« on: 18 August 2023, 17:19:39 »

I could buy front brake kit 1515005, 93175466 by 30 euro but not sure if it fits to my 2001 Y26SE

So many possibilities, ambulance police etc. Air cooled, yes, but seem to be various diameters etc., so expensive, don't want to take a risk...

Forgive me if I am wrong, but I thought the disks for the Omega were all the same Diameter.

Earlier two litre cars had smaller, thinner front discs and different calipers.

Facelift cars should all have 296x28mm front discs.

Fitting the smaller discs is a really, really dumb idea.

Opel KAT 1515005 / GM# 93175466 is the kit that contains 296 x 28mm discs and brake pads both correct for any Omega V6. 30 Euro seems a bargain price. Is the kit a genuine GM or is it aftermarket? Where's it coming from?

Thanks Enceladus
It was a Finnish Market Place in net. Got them today, seems to be original GM package including those two boxes. They look similar to what I have in my car, those part numbers I do not know as there was not any part numbers in opel.7zap.com.

GM# 93182283 is the GM part number for a pair of 296 x 28mm Omega front discs.
GM# 9192124 is the GM part number for a set of GM aftermarket spec (same as TradeClub) Omega front pads.

The end connector of the front pad wear sensor might fall apart when you try to disconnect the old cable from the pad. Omega B has one sensor each side. Omega B2 (Facelift) has only one on the left side (in the UK), so probably on the driver's side in your case. The GM part # is 90495144 / Opel KAT 62-38-323. So it might be a good idea to have a new cable to hand. There should be plenty of 3rd party equivalents so there's a good chance you can get one from a local car parts shop. Or don't replace it all, unless it's required to be fitted and working for a Finnish MOT.
