Three possible reasons why Boris has decided to 'stick with prit'

1....She is as pure as the driven snow and wouldn't say boo to a goose.

2....Ms Patel is a 'person of colour' and Boris did not want to incite BLM to riot by using his white privilege.

3....Boris is a randy old goat and has been bending Priti over the cabinet table and slipping her a length for months.  :)
4) a woman

So 2) + 4) keeps the ratios up.

As for slipping her one, really?  I certainly wouldn't.

Well, I find her attractive, in common with Heidi Allen, who I think is no longer a Tory.

TB only has eyes for Shami C. :)

The real reason he didn't sack her is because the report was fake news.
That will never sell papers ;D

It's not 'fake' news, just completely biased omitted news :D

Any advice is referred to as bullying by some , seen it so often when I was working & been accused of it , so when the individual concerned got a smack on the nose from a prisoner I took delight in telling them " I told you that would happen" he tended to listen to experienced staff after that incident.
When the wife observes a lesson or has someone in the office, she always has to have a witness....taking notes. Stops all the 'He said, she said'. It's the way of things nowadays, I'm afraid.

That's why I turned promotion down when I was offered it Steve, couldn't be doing with all the nonsense that went along with it & for the extra few quid a month simply not worth the hassle.
I was a m/c shop supervisor for a number of years. The company then decided that individual assessments were required. I did all the people on my shop floor, 30+, My gaffer then gave me mine. Bearing in mind that this guy used to work under me, he said " i notice that you don't suffer fools gladly". My reply was " if i think that they're shit at their job i'll tell them. Didn't go down too well. ;D

In my later business life I had to give all my field managers their individual 360 degree assessments, then they gave me their individual assessments. That was interesting, but a very healthy way of management.

Now, I wonder if 360 degree appraisals are given to the political managers of our country, let alone with the civil servants? ::) ::) ;D ;D ;D ;)

When Patel took over at the Home office she said she was going to do all kinds of things. She has carried out few, if any of those things.
I suspect the reason for that is that the Oxbridge lefty liberal wokies who infest the Civil service in their millions, ignored her, closed ranks and refused to implement what she wanted to do.
If thats the case, she should be applauded for screaming "fickin useless wonkers" at them in frustration.
Thatcher always said she regretted that she didnt get around to doing to the Civil Service what she did to the private sector.
God only knows when we will ever get a Government with the balls to take that job on.  :(

My old boss was terrible at doing his admin, so came rushing one morning in a panic with our staff appraisals. Which were nearly a month late.
My immediate manager(the bullshit bingo bloke ;D ) turned to the last page, scribbled a signature and handed it back without saying a word.
As I didn't have 20 years of longterm scams behind me, I couldn't afford a bad appraisal because the company always used them against you. Also, I can't help reading any bit of paper handed to me. So I gave it back without signing and made him actually do the job. Then correct the execrable English before I was prepared to sign it.

What is a 360 degree appraisal that isn't covered by 'appraisal', or should I just call BINGO now?

I think that idea was dropped from most places decades ago, as it turned out that constructive, open and honest upward feedback ws not what British managers wanted, just knob jockeys.

No need to ask how I know...
