ccr 2006 faulty
« on: 11 February 2012, 20:13:06 »

Hi all,
The front panel on my ccr2006 has a couple of broken plastic clips which means it can be pushed on or off.when pushed all the way home it works fine except the drivers door speaker goes off.when i pull it out slightly the speaker works again but the illumination on the head unit goes off.i am guessing it is a faulty connector from the face panel to the head unit.my question is can this be repaired or do i need a new stereo.
Many thanks in advance for any advice. :)

Take it out mate and have a look. Could be that not all clips are broken but some have come loose, or screws may be missing if it's ever been tampered with before. You may well be able to fix or secure it to a reasonable degree, and replacements are very rare now. If your whole unit is working as it should then I would definitely try to fix it first  :y
