Am i right in saying that, engine wise (not including wiring harness), the 3.0 V6 is the same between auto and manual models?

Omega General Help / EBC brake parts
« on: 30 July 2008, 11:10:37 »
just wondering if anyones using the EBC brake discs/pads. I seem to do alot of heavy braking, and looking to get the MV6 on a track this year too, so looking at uprated stuff, EBC seem to be about the most common in omega fitment. Was looking at their grooved discs and green or red pads... if anyones used em? :)

Omega General Help / Idle problem
« on: 20 June 2008, 12:56:47 »
Car seems to run perfectly fine when on the move, but on long journeys then parking up (or short journeys about town) it wont idle when i try to start it again... if i take it a blast it fixes itself.... thinking it could be a dirty ICV but just incase there was any common problems...

Omega General Help / Windscreen washer problem
« on: 27 February 2008, 21:58:24 »
wee problem with windscreen washers... drivers side works as it should, but the passenger side isnt "squirting".. plenty of water comming through, it sjust not squirting up the windscreen, have put a pin in them to clear and adjust the nozzles (drivers side was slightly blocked) but to no avail... assuming it could be a common problem or something.. any ideas?

Omega General Help / Re: Emissions
« on: 04 February 2008, 12:41:58 »
ok, went out for a wee check under the bonnet to see what im going to attack, and noticed that the AMF didnt have its plug inserted, it was cabletied up with the air temp plug... so pluged it back in and its definetly runnin like crap... so im assuming thats nackered and need a new one? (mate has new one anyway) and go from there?

done paperclip test again and understood it a bit better, codes showing are:

73   Mass Air Flow Sensor Voltage Low
74   Mass Air Flow Sensor Voltage High
135   Telltale (Checklight) Voltage Low

coincidently in the owners manual was a print out from here with marks guide on taking instrument cluster out... so will work out if it as printed whilst previous owner had it
That'll be the giveaway!!  ;D

So, is O2 sensor '13' a lambda sensor in the exhaust?

yea, i didnt think twice of it because guy i got it from is well respected (and just checked the printed dates, and it was 5 months before he got it, so may have been owenr before him)

im assuming O2 sensor is lambda sensor - usually known them by both names... though i could be wrong lol

yup! coincidently in the owners manual was a print out from here with marks guide on taking instrument cluster out... so will work out if it as printed whilst previous owner had it (very well respected here for his work on cars too!).

fauls that came up...

73   Mass Air Flow Sensor Voltage Low
13   O2 Sensor 1 Open Circuit

that was on second try, on first try the coolant temp voltage code was also displayed
