So much for main dealer servicing. Skoda will be getting a bollocking come Monday morning!
As part of the recent service, the garage changed the brake fluid and bled the brakes (this was about 3 weeks ago). SWMBO was maneuvering the car this morning when I called a halt to proceedings. See if you eagle eyes OOFers can spot the issue... ::)

A main dealer actually bled the brakes that they invoiced for :o
(or at least,started to :-\ )
Next you'll be telling us they actually fitted a new oil filter ,rather than the "fitter" wiping the dirt off the old one and sticking the new part on ebay :-\

That reminds me of a good friend.
Took his VW in for a recall “ adjust steering rack to track rod ends” . Picked it up and drove down the M1 , arrived home and turned into his drive. No steering. They had adjusted it the wrong way and left one track rod held on by one thread.

That stinks of BS... At the very least the wheel would have been well of centre and it would have been a dog to drive, especially at speed. ???
Had the tracking done on a 106 many moons ago... They forgot to tighten the lock nuts allowing the track rods to work loose. I drove it to Norfolk from Sussex and initially all was fine, but gradually a vibration crept in and about 25 miles into the return journey the steering started to feel 'off'
Breakdown called out and quickly diagnosed the problem. The bloke who attended concluded that enough damage had been done to warrant recovery home. From Newmarket. A pair of new track rods and a geo session at Peugeot later and all was well ;)

I can assure you it was true. The dealer was in Loughborough and he lived on the outskirts of Leicester. His wife flatly refused to use the car for some time after. Maybe they took the wheel off the splines and then recentred it? The point was you take the car in for a fix of a potential safety issue and they created an actual one.

There's an asset number stamped on it. So I would imagine the garage could identify the chimp in question. However I suspect they'll disavow all knowledge. ::)
If I cared, or was keeping the car, if have it checked at another garage and invoice Stourbridge Skoda. But as it's going back to VWFS in about 6 weeks, it's going to be someone else's problem.

Nope. Well, yes. But only in the context of this forum.
We got it in march 2016 on a 42 month PCP. It's going back under the halves and thirds rule. We gave a minescule deposit so there's no equity.
The new one is going to be here in 6weeks and mean lower monthlies, which is helpful, given our impending mortgage payments. ::)
