All,
Daz n Pete are coming up next week (Thursday 18th June) to change the cambelts on my 2 Migs. There is a bit of space at my place for them to work on a couple more cars if anyone is interested in joining us?
If we can get a few more people interested I might even fire up the Barbie - otherwise Daz n Pete will have to starve... :D
Let me know if anyone is interested.

Hi,loo knee mentioned a meet in scotland where a tech2 might be? is this the one(the only scottish one i spotted).Im havin a few probs and would be glad to bring some burgers and lamb chops.. err if its the wrong one just ignore me lol

I am in a small village called Westfield. It's just outside Bathgate so fairly central. Not a massive amount of space but room for maybe 3 cars to be worked on at time so don't all come at once :D
Great if Loo-Knee's dad can come along too with his Tech2 (sorry Broocie ;) ).

Daz n Pete could probably do with a bit more work to do to make their journey really worthwhile. I know they are prepared to stay a day extra to do a few more jobs if required. Even if your Mig isnt mobile, let us know and they will come to you. :y

Yeah. This is Scotland mate. It'll be sunny. It'll also rain heavily for several hours. Then it'll snow. In between times we'll have a few hurricanes. Raining horizontally at the moment. :-/

Rough running at idle will probably be either the idle control valve needing cleaned to within an inch of its life with carb cleaner then a few drops of oil or it could be an air leak of some description. Both relatively easy straightforward fixes...
Paint? Nope... ;D
Howl? Just at startup? If so, secondary air injection pump. Plug under nearside inner wheelarch. If all the time/when driving, wheel bearing or potential diff bearing?

bobbertbear the howl that is not the weel bearing cost me four week bearings until I found out it was the rather tyres. All sorted now though, have you tried that?

I have a set of 225/55/16 still on CDX rims which you can borrow to prove whether it is your tyres or not. The tyres themselves only have about 3mm of tread on them so aint worth keeping but it would prove the problem one way or another.
Another good reason for joining us on Thursday :y
