So, come home this morning (got day off), have a coffee, look at the birds feeding etc etc

look down near the garage door and my mum or dad has been in the garage, moved my angle grinding bucket outside and not put it back. rain soaked through  :'( :'( :'( :'(

luckily, I wrapped the grinder up in its plastic cover and put it back in its box and the cardboard has soaked up all the water. also luckily I put my cutting discs back in the bag they came from so theyre ok.

my grinding discs however are not so lucky. theyre soaked through as I didn't put them in a bag. I trust these are now fekked?

They will be fine, there made of a hard resin with abrasive grit in it formed around a fibre mesh, pretty water proof!

My plasma cutter arrived earlier. I can see my metal cutting discs lasting a long, long time ;D

Just need to find some metal to cut now.  Most things I've suggested, she's said I'm not allowed to. Bloody spoilsport :(

I'd have thought you'd have inflicted a few wounds on that dishwasher by now. Not enough to kill it, just enough to make it hurt. ;)

Whats the benefit of plasma over thecutting disc? presumably for those odd angles you might not be able to get to?

You can cut any shape - curves, straight lines (depending how steady your hand is!) and there's no consumable disc, as you say the wand is smaller so you can get it into tight gaps.

Downsides are the ease of setting light to the surrounding environment with one.. ;D

You can make a nice Chiminea / Food Smoker out of one of those actually*.

They make fantastic crow-scarers when placed on a bonfire (in the middle of a field).  :-X
First time I've felt a ploughed field move underfoot.  :o  Oh, and it blows a big hole in the middle of your bonfire.  ;D
